Thanks for the reply... Good to hear yours hits focus every time you command it via the service you wrote. Any chance there are others that have experience with or willing to test if your camera hits focus every time you use a script or service to manual set a focus position on your Dahua... -

If the camera would accurately take focus commands, then I suspect I could use scripts to compensate for that. Has anyone tried using the scripts for commanding focus, and if so, do they always hit their mark? Mine is way off about 50% of the time. -

Thanks for posting this! It appears to be working great. The only issue is Im unclear if its repeating. My assumption is the 'sleep, 2000' stalls the loop for 30000 milliseconds(30 seconds?). but Im not getting an update on text file. -

Thank you! Wanted to give an update... took the 24V AC power supply apart and it had a blown fuse. Once I bypassed it to do a test, the camera powered up as expected. So happy the camera appears to be fine! -
