Hi CPU usage after latest update

I know you're right. BI4 was working great for me. That's why I ditched my NVR in the first place (adamantly, it was a cheapie) I do wonder if it's something with the storage. I went ahead and formatted both drives and now my CPU usage is back down to normal with all cameras on (about what...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Okay, I disabled every camera but one. CPU usage dropped down to below 15%. It stays like that for a minute or two then everything drops to 0% (CPU and RAM) then the system crashes. Now I can't even get the GUI to open. I'll probably re-install BI again. (I believe my license for BI4...

Apparently, one is for the service.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Another odd thing that I noticed was that the "Max. rate" for each camera had changed. I went into each camera's settings and set the fps and iframe to 15. I also set 15 in BI's Max rate, yet it will change iteself to some random number on about half my cameras.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Ah, it looks like one is for the background process and one is for the App. Not sure if there's anything out of the ordinary on the properties tab.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

One thing I noticed is that when I open the task manager, there are two Blue Iris being shown. I'm guessing one is the program and one is the GUI?

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I received an email back from Ken (within an hour or so...pretty awesome). Unfortunately, his only suggestions were to check all Security Software Exemptions, update Nvidia drivers, and check to see if Intel drivers are possible causing a memory leak. I went ahead and disabled all windows...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I think I may have figured it out. (special thanks to Southern Yankee). I don't think I had allotted enough storage space and it was bumping up against what I had. I had been playing around with the storage settings and think I finally got it right. CPU usage has been around 20% for the last...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

All of my Hikvision cams are set up like this with H.264+ off and 20FPS. The couple that aren't are not as configurable. They just have H.264 set.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Okay, I switched all the cameras over to No for HA. The three with the # were set to default. In the main Blue Iris Settings -> Cameras I have "No" for HA. The camera in red, I don't have mounted yet. I just set it up in BI and I'm running the ethernet cable today planning on mounting it...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I went ahead and restarted the machine with HA turned off. I've been playing around with the clips and archiving setting. Right now, I have the alerts going into a 1TB M.2 SSD (a separate drive from what windows/BI is on). I currently have it set for 3 days then moved over to the M drive...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I am running BI as a service. I'm not sure what I'm looking at in the event messages. Here's a couple screen shots of errors. I'm unclear of what you're asking for on the other post with the requested screenshot. Here's a screenshot of my GUI.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

It's BI Release 5.0.7.1 x64 running on Windows 10 Pro. I have had hardware acceleration turned on. It seems like the CPU percentage was higher with it off and the resets were more frequent. I'm not sure what screen shots you're asking for. I currently have 9 cameras connected.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Well, that's this has been the longest it's gone before spiking up to 100% cpu usage...almost a week.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Thanks for the reply. I started with a clean install of Windows 10 Pro and BI5. As a matter of fact, I actually just built it about a month ago. There's nothing else running on the machine. Updates are turned off. When the CPU increases, memory does increase a little bit. I have 32G of...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Well, now I can't seem to open the GUI. The logo pops up then disappears. Maybe try another graphics driver? Use a video card instead of the onboard VGA?

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Well, it looks as though I spoke too soon. I'm going to turn off HA and see if that helps. EDIT: Well, it looks like that was definitely NOT the answer...CPU usage shot up to 100% immediately. Looks like I even divided by zero...always wondered what would happen if you divided by zero...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Thanks for the reply. I had HA turned on and it seemed to work better with the old driver. I just updated to 7463 and left it on. Trying it out for now.

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Yes, maybe I didn't explain it correctly. Task manager is showing that Blue Iris is using up to 100% CPU. It'll start in the 20%s then climb up to 100% where it will shut down. The task manager only lists Blue Iris as a whole program, not what in Blue Iris is causing the high CPU usage...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I have and it only lists "Blue Iris". Even though it was only doing it when the GUI was open, it doesn't point to a specific, only the program and it's CPU usage. I've updated to the latest driver and restarted. It seems to work better and I'm able to keep the GUI open for much longer than...

    Dahua DB11doorbell camera caught FedEx

Disclaimer: I work for FedEx That's not how it's supposed to be done. Do some packages see extreme handling being shipped in the back of trucks and airplanes? ...sure. But, everything should be treated with care as if it were breakable. When this happens, it gives a bad name to all the...

    Xfinity compatible modem advice

I have Gigabit service from xFinity and I'm getting close to that with my SB8200. One thing to note, the ISP is in control of rolling out the modem's firmware and Comcast/xFinity seems a little slow getting theirs out. The SB8200 has two WAN ethernet ports and I (along with many others) have...

Hi CPU usage after latest update

Will do...you may be on to something. After monitoring CPU usage, it only seems to be maxing out when the GUI is up. I'll check it and post back. Thanks!

Hi CPU usage after latest update

I'm not sure what's going on here...after the latest BI5 update, my CPU has been maxing out and the GUI has been closing down. I'm running an i9-9900K and have about 10 cameras all recording direct to disc. Normal ops have been around 15-25% CPU usage. Something's definitely up. It's a...

    Hikvision Camera Firmware Help

The one that was on the oldest firmware was a special order camera. Most come with a 2.8mm or 4mm lens, but I wanted a 6mm for where I was putting it. I was thinking it may be an asian only version or something odd. I decided to give it a shot and updated them all. They're all now on...

    Hikvision Camera Firmware Help

I'm kind of at a loss here, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I have a few DS-2CD2085G1-I cameras. One is on firmware version V5.5.62 build 180822, one is on firmware version V5.6.2 build 190701, and the rest are on V5.6.0 build 190507. I've looked around the EU Portal...

I'm currently running 8x 8MP Hikvision cameras on BI5. I'm using an i9-9900K and it's anywhere from 18-22% CPU usage.

Getting 1G internet soon!....What Wifi Router should I buy?

If you have some time on your hands and want to get serious, pfSense is where it's at. When I got gigabit service, I ended up building a pfSense box using a Supermicro C2758 motherboard. I connected it to a 10GbE switch for the backbone of my home network. I've sectioned off several...
