    i have thought that & several times have done 65 secs , about 7 secs in it fiddles then another session but then silent up till 65th second. leave added cam as is & just reset cam ?

    above is after going into nvr proper & turning off p2p , but also before this i may have got the tvt nvr to change the cam pw , but then it stuck with a device not ready error right walk me through exactly what i do here

    ok so tried on tvt nvr , didnt come up with picture, tried to change the password it seemed maybe to take it but when i pressed test , it said cam offline could there be something up with the new cam .. how do i test that

    just checking my logic not blaming , so i had green dot before i changed with pencil the pw that the nvr should expect the cam to have , but the cam has already been given that by the nvr . i have a tvt nvr !?

    well i tried it & i couldnt hear it reset even though got 12v attached other cams can be seen but this cam hides itself & is hell bent on keeping its own pw ps ip config was used for the nvr when i first got it so no use.

    with prev tvt cam if i put 12v to it , i could plug it into my modem & log into the cams secret menu , is the dahua different animal ?

    no i followed what wiittaj said , plugged cam straight into nvr from carboard box i got pic in nvr proper tried to get to it via ie & it didnt want to know my other cam inspite of all this booting resetting is fine & can always log in via ie ps i can put 12v to cam & plug into modem like other...

    so how can i get to cam to set the password OTHER than via nvr cos pencil tells nvr what pw to use with cam .. but cam seems to hold another pw in spite of tool pushbutton reset

    when i eventually get to green ie , the cams gui brings up the p2p issue , i untick it the it flashes up cam is initialised but cam seems to have its own pw

    will do , but so rebooted nvr , but still similar ,,, grenn icon came up , wanteed p2p said no, it saiinitialised blue cam log screen but pw of nvr still wrong

    i hear u but since other day i just use admin with the simple pw written down & so so so slowly enter it will push reset now for 30secs again
