    Reolink stopped working with BI

I would probably reboot again just to see if that brings it back. If not, try deleting and re-adding the camera in Blue Iris in case something got corrupted about its configuration. Consider exporting the camera settings before you delete it just so you have a complete backup of the config.

    Playback skipping critical points

If you have sub streams configured, try exporting the clip from the sub stream only and see if that will play properly. I know it isn't ideal but it might at least get you something if it works.

Blue Iris and Windows 11 24H2?

Hardware acceleration and nvidia have not been mentioned in patch notes since March 2020. I doubt updating Blue Iris would solve this. I'm with wittaj here and suggest just not using hardware acceleration anymore and use sub streams instead to keep CPU usage down. This will have the benefit...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

Yup. It looks like you have a hot spot on your CPU with the wide temperature difference between cores. I am not sure how much of that is normal for Haswell parts (4000 series Intel) but with good cooling you should basically never see the peak temperature turn red like that without...

    Blue Iris UI3

Hah I was just trying to reply to the separate thread you had created, and then you deleted it. I think it is safe to rule out UI3 or any network as the cause of the problem, and you'll need to email Blue Iris support about it. Let me attempt to explain why. Not to confuse you, but every...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

Check the CPU temperature before bothering with a new cooler. If it is below about 80°C then I doubt there is any reason to upgrade the cooling. Otherwise I'd just go with something like this https://amazon.com/dp/B09LGY38L4 In a 4U case you probably have 155mm of clearance to suit that...

    Blue Iris UI3

Oops @biggen I forgot the login page has the same global error catcher and needs updated too. I'll try to get that out this week along with the MQTT toast message feature.

@looney2ns He probably edited his Blue Iris user account and limited its permissions. Maybe the Anonymous account if anonymous auth is enabled in the web server settings.

That config looks fine for Dahua cameras too. If changing back to H.265 fixes the issue it might be worth just sticking with that. Otherwise it sounds like your support plan is actually active still so contacting Blue Iris support would be the next step I think..

    Blue Iris UI3

Look in Blue Iris's status window. It is the icon at the top that looks like a squiggly arrow pointing up and to the right. There you will find the "Log" tab and a checkbox at the bottom that lets it be saved to a file. Otherwise you just have the log messages since the last time Blue Iris...

I like that idea, and yes of course that is possible. I've added this to my issue tracker: Add MQTT command to display a toast message · Issue #195 · bp2008/ui3 Can you think of any other features this should have besides what I wrote in the issue? I have not decided yet if I should try to...

@biggen UI3-286 should suppress that error message now.

    Blue Iris UI3

That is UI3's global error handler catching an error in a script that does not belong to UI3. It could be a script injected by a browser extension or by the web browser itself. Either way, I have a mechanism in place in UI3 for ignoring specific error messages in situations just like this and...

    Blue Iris UI3

Everything looks fine there too. I was wondering if it might be Smart Codec or one of the other poorly supported encoding options but you aren't using anything that normally causes issues for Blue Iris. Here are a couple more ideas: 1. You could try removing the sub stream path from one of the...

    Blue Iris UI3

@CJ133 Can you take a screenshot of some of your cameras' encoding settings in their web interfaces? Where the main and sub stream resolution and bit rates and stuff is configured?

    Blue Iris UI3

Your Streaming 0 profile looks fine since UI3 is being allowed to override settings. All of UI3's default profiles override the resolution and bit rate so the 4K one should look basically pristine. For UI3, bandwidth issues will not cause low quality, it will just cause bad video delay. It...

    Blue Iris UI3

Hmm, I am not thrilled with cluttering up the context menu for this especially since UI3 gets used on all kinds of screen sizes, some of them very small. And unfortunately I can't control PTZ speed. Back when I was adding gamepad/joystick support, Blue Iris added a more advanced PTZ control...

    Blue Iris UI3

Weird. I am not sure what would cause that besides having a low res quality profile selected, which you don't. UI3 actually barely has any awareness of sub streams, and certainly does not control the transition between sub stream and main stream when maximizing a camera. This most likely a...

Setting up NetTime Time Sync Tool on Windows 10

I don't know if that actually ever happens. I did share video with cops once about an event that was unrelated to me or my property, but my cameras had seen their suspect. A year later the case went to trial where I was brought in as a witness. The prosecutor showed the video clips to the...

Setting up NetTime Time Sync Tool on Windows 10

I always recommend having the camera embed its own timestamps, and to disable Blue Iris's timestamp overlay that it adds by default. This way Blue Iris won't need to recompress the video to add timestamps, so your clip exports are much faster and retain their original quality. This does of...

New (higher spec) CPU requirements for Windows 11 24H2

It looks like this was all just a misunderstanding. Signs suggest that 8th gen Intel will continue to be supported in Windows 11 updates for the foreseeable future. You can see the original webpage which caused this misunderstanding here via archive.org: Windows processor requirements Windows...

    Weight value as overlay

Interesting project. It sounds like the device only provides the weight data via a websocket. The JsonDataExtractor app does not support using a websocket to receive data. It requires the JSON payload to be delivered as the response to a simple HTTP request. You would have to ask the company...

Words That Make My Blood Pressure Spike

Pause icon bug fixed in UI3-285. As for the new alerts icon, I can't find any bugs in that implementation. Most likely something else is causing the newalerts field in your camera metadata to be reset to 0 prematurely, causing the icon to disappear for that camera. If you view an alert for a...

    Blue Iris UI3

@Buxton UI3-284 includes these new features. It is just overlay icons for now, because I suspect a long-lasting toast message would be annoying to the point of being disruptive. Version 284 Added a system for UI3 to store settings on a per-camera basis. UI Settings > Event Triggered Icons...

    Blue Iris UI3

Hi @Buxton. I should be able to do that quite easily. I have a system in place for showing icons when certain camera properties are set, and "paused" is one of the properties available for consideration so I just need to code that up. This is a more open-ended suggestion, and significantly...

    Upgrading question, How easy?

Blue Iris 5 should be compatible with windows 7 so I don't expect that to be an issue. More concerning is the CPU (and the rest of the system built around it). The Core 2 Duo E4300 came out in 2006 and has extremely poor performance by modern standards. You probably don't have a huge amount...

@EvanVanVan no idea :( It won't be a fault of your BI version. It also isn't likely to be a firewall issue since it works from your phone. And you obviously have the VPN connection working since you can ping the BI machine from your affected machine.

How to reduce random pixel snowflakes

It would help to see that in motion to be more sure of what it is. If this was captured at night and the noise moves randomly with every frame then it is just sensor noise due to low light and you may be able to improve it by increasing 3D noise reduction. However this can have negative...

    static ip question

Only because it CAN be done. And maybe because of a bit of misplaced fear about IPv4 address scarcity. The private 10.x.x.x IP address space has nearly 17 million addresses. It is enough for 65536 distinct /24 subnets (a.k.a. subnet mask 255.255.255.0) so there is not much reason to ever use...
