    How does the 5442 compare at night to the Color4K-X if you don't use the built in led? or maybe a flood light behind them which would look best at night? I just added a LED motion flood light and my 5442 will change to color at night, i just wonder how the color 4k-x would compare.

    It’s wider than my other 2.8 cameras for some reason but they have a smaller sensor. so would a 2.8 with a 1 1/2 sensor be even wider?

    Another thing i like about the 5442 is the 2.8mm is wider than other cams i have that are 2.8mm fixed, is that from the larger sensor? I have large open spaces and it makes a huge difference.

    The 4k-x is to large for what i am looking for if it came in a turret style i would buy it just to see what the hype is all about. Are the IR cameras going away? Seems like all the new ones are color at night with leds.

    I'm happy with mine but things change so fast!. I'm using these they are listed as EOL. https://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/productDetail/33357?us I'm not interested in the color at night since my place has zero light and i like the turrent style seems to work best with bugs.

    I've had Dahua 2MP 30x IR PTZ since 2015 and it's been giving me issues with the PTZ in cold weather not working. Any suggestions on a newer model with better image and maybe more zoom range? I've been pretty happy with the camera over the last 7 years. I have this one...

    I'm using gmail to get alerts sent to my phone but lately the txt are delayed by as much as a few hours. Is there a better option?

    I switched to a local admin account what do i use for BI? I am not using a pass/pin anymore if i leave it blank in BI for a localsystem account it says that it's not recommended.

    I do have a rack mount UPS. They only provide power for so long. I get 45 min out of mine with the router etc using it to.

    I will test it to be sure nothing worse than being away from home when the power went out for a hour and you can't see your cameras! :)

    You where right that worked! I've never used the MS account it is a requirement to setup Win 11 but can be set to a local account later. I have my PC set to auto boot if power goes out and it comes back on, i wonder if BI will load automatically if your not at home on the login screen?

    In BI5 under the tab startup if i click on run as a windows service it ask me for a user and password. I'm using a pin # to login in on boot if i enter my pin and user name it says it is wrong. Do i need to remove the pin # on boot in order to run bi as a windows service?

    Only down side to AMD is that you need a GPU for most of there CPUs, but still there MB are way cheaper than intel.

    I know that intel is suggested for its quick sync but it leads me to wonder how a AMD cpu would do if you had a powerful enough cpu and didn’t need to off load.

    BI says my support ended with a date in red. I noticed that the install new updates tab is now greyed out Can you still install updates manually?

    UPS Wasn't enough, now I'll never lose camera footage

    I like them gas cans! Does pressure build up in them a little so when you open them they make a sound? I would like to buy some but they are not cheap.
