Is there any point to using AI with BI?

Me too. Easy and works very well. DeepStack/CodeProject/Frigate/etc., are more capable but like another hobby to keep up with all to themselves.

Is there any point to using AI with BI?

Many, many less false alerts but if you don't have a problem with that now then maybe don't need. Here in the old days I fought a continual losing battle against moving tree shadows and car lights sweeping the yard that pretty much nothing else would really effectively solve. And you can do...

Ford Sues Restoration Company For Making New Broncos Look Old

I don't know man... Ford's been on kind of a bad motor run for the last 20-some years with something major always needing to be "resolved." I loved my older ones but later motors have kind of been a mess. I'd like to get another but I have no confidence in them now. Maybe they can do the...

    Camera problem

Go into the settings for the camera and change the IP address. Your old one was probably left on the default so when you added this one, it had the same. You should change both so neither is left at the default.

    Camera problem

See this post to change IP: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/empiretech-t54ir-help.79083/post-889220 You'll do the same but use 192.168.1.64 as the address instead of .108. What are you using as an IP address range normally?

    Camera problem

Again, which model camera? Is it an Hikvision cam? If so, then the default IP address usually is 192.168.1.64. Your IP for your computer will need to be in that same 192.168.1.x address range in order to see the cam. You can change it temporarily, change the cam IP to what you want, change...

    Camera problem

What camera? It's likely reset back to whatever the default IP address is for that cam.

Yeah, watching again this morning I might change my vote.

    Another Coyote Fox confusion.

That one's a harder call but think I'm still going fox. The quick short steps are typical. And though larger, still looks a little shorter and longer (relatively).

    Power demand night IR

Double is a reasonable working estimate. Some relatively a little higher or lower. You need the light to be able to detect motion so, no, doesn't work activating the IR on motion and none work that way. Some can light white lights but you probably don't want that. If you set IR to manual...

any issues with BI on a 10980XE?

24 x 12MP at high rates maybe not so much overkill. But if it ran on the 6950 should as well or better on the new.

any issues with BI on a 10980XE?

You don't say how many cams and all but likely way more than you need and should be fine. Maybe pull one or both of the video cards if you're not doing anything with CodeProject.

How to install when there is no attic?

Down, under and up. Might also look at mounting to posts off of it where/if you need.

Police Helicopter Ride Along - Day or Night?

Night seems like it would be cooler and more going on. They have great night vision here. With all of the IR my house must look like Las Vegas in the distance.

Hacked DAHUA cam and added that names

Access that requires encrypted key exchange/passwords and encrypts traffic between the end points. That's why it's standard best practice for remote access. As I said, account names aren't going to stop anything. All of the cam exploits go completely around user authorization. If they can...

How to bulk get users lists from all local cameras DAHUA <getUserInfoAll> to text file?

Possible but not likely. But do whatever you want, you're the one with hacked cams.

Hacked DAHUA cam and added that names

You must have some entry point into your camera network. Doesn't necessarily mean that each is forwarded. But in a way might be less concerning if they were. ; )

How to bulk get users lists from all local cameras DAHUA <getUserInfoAll> to text file?

Deleting the users isn't going to do you any good. They'll just be hacked again and the exploits go around user credentials/authorization. You need to lock down your network and do a hard assessment of what all's been compromised and wipe things. They likely have bot-ware installed.

No Signal on BI camera randomly but live view in camera never stops.

Which cam? Maybe try a reset. Then try changing the settings so there's not as much going on. e.g., keep FPS at 15 vs 30, etc. From there if there's still a problem maybe firmware update.
  24. Mike A.

No Signal on BI camera randomly but live view in camera never stops.

Hard to say and don't know how you're set up there as far as cams, network, and all. Try to simplify things as much as possible and work back to where the problem is isolated.
  25. Mike A.

No Signal on BI camera randomly but live view in camera never stops.

BI tends to be more sensitive to drop outs than some apps and live view. Shows an error faster and it takes longer to recover so you'll see the problem more while the app/live view will continue to show. Watch the clock in the live view closely and see if it stops or skips. If so, then the...

default camera for triggering an alert?

Not sure, never done it that way. Unless you have something more that you're trying to do, the easier way is Camera settings > Trigger > Trigger camera groups. If you want both cameras (or however many) to trigger each other, then make a group with both in it. If just one way, then make a...

    Camera problem

Try it. Nothing to lose. Best way to do it when you put it back up is to put a glob of dielectric grease on and inside the RJ-45 connector. Then wrap it with Coax-Seal or some other self-fusing tape. Then a wrap with Scotch 33 on top of that.

    Camera problem

Not that strange. There are separate circuits/boards for the power and network sides. Because it gets power and lights up doesn't mean that the network side is working properly. Could be corrupted in some way or just fried. I've had a couple die that would still power up but were...
