    5.9.11+ and Dahua 4MP cams

If you have any form of motion detection in BI then even though the data is writen direclty to disk the frames have to be decoded to check for changes in pixels for the motion detection.

    5.9.11+ and Dahua 4MP cams

That was the point I was trying to make, you won't have hardware acceleration for h265/HEVC on older gen Intel chips which means it drops back to software decode and puts more demand on the CPU

    5.9.11+ and Dahua 4MP cams

you might want to think about dropping the cams back down to h264 - As I recall Intel hardware support for h265/HEVC was not added until the 6th Gen Intel chips - Ignore this if you have a discrete GPU performing the HA.

    5.9.11+ and Dahua 4MP cams

An i5-2300 is now pretty old and fairly weak for the No. cams you have, I'd recommend having a look on ebay, gumtree etc for something around Intel 6th gen - you should get a whole system or at least MoBO/RAM/CPU combo for reasonable money and good bang for your buck

@wittaj - I have 4 good cams FPS = iframes but also have two cheap cams with 0.25 iframes so I'll enable and adjust for based on the cheapo ones. @kklee - I've got something simliar for my driveway and street pavement where I tend to detect only people legs on the leading images so will see...

I see loads of people taking about Pre-trigger video buffer in this thread - I've personally got it disabled on all my cams as I 24/7 record the main streams. I was wondering if it could still add value, I did ask this in a dedicated post about a month ago but never got a response, could be the...

    Stream settings for my cameras

The only thing I would change on the above is a drop from 20 > 15 FPS/iframe - I think it would yeild a slighly better image during motion for the 4096 bit rate

Pre-trigger video buffer when using Continuous recording of main stream

Is there any value in enabling Pre-trigger video buffer if a camera(s) is setup to record 24/7 Continuous and there is only the main stream (one stream) - Could the Pre-trigger store frames in memory better for use with other elements such as motion detection/DeepStack AI etc?

Accessing high-res alert images from web interface

ok just had my own case of RTFM - found on page 204 - working great by adding &fulljpeg on the URL http://192.168.1.2:81/alerts/IPCam01.20210514_080000.11867730.3.44431.jpg&fulljpeg /alerts/{filename}. An alert image. You may use a database record number (@record) in place of the filename...

Accessing high-res alert images from web interface

Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone know if it is possible to access the high-res alert jpeg images directly from a UI3 URL? For example, say I have IPCam01.20210514_080000.11867730.3.44431.jpg in my Alerts folder and my BI is hosted on 192.168.1.2 is there something possible...

Trigger Break time and DeepStack AI Additional real-time images to analyze

I’m curious as to how others are combing these two settings to get the most out motion triggers and DeepStack AI. At the moment I’ve got my trigger “Break time” duration set at 10 seconds and DeepStack AI “Additional real-time images to analyze” set to 10 images/seconds – My logic is that the...

    Spiderwebs throwing lots of alerts

As other have said Deepstack AI has completely stopped spiders, webs and bugs setting off my alerts but before that I had good success by spraying the camera body and surrounding wall area with silicon spray lubricant (don’t get it on the lens) – none of the bug sprays worked for me. I used...

    Motion senors settings with DeepStack

Just curious what motion setting people are using in conjuction with Deepstack AI? I am currently using the settings below on a 1080p camera pointing at my driveway/car and pickup lots of movement/triggers to pass to Deepstack, perhaps at little too much at the moment with passing car...

    Purging cancelled alerts?

It's not the jpegs in the alerts folder that I'm wanting to purge but the actual alert and low res image which are saved to the database - from what I can see/tell there is no way for Blueiris to auto purge the DB alerts based on confirmed or cancelled but only size or age of all alerts.

Blueiris added direct support for Deepstack AI

Yes that's exaclty what you can do. Note that you need a good number of images for training and testing to get the best results when creating a new model, I think it's something like 300 for training and 50 for testing. I'd also advise you use the Google Colab for training unless you have a...

Monitoring the stills is easy becuase you can have them saved to the "Alerts" folder by selecting the "Burn label mark-up onto alert images" in the AI settings of each camera. Purging cancelled alerts?

After configuring Blue Iris to use Deepstack AI to look for "person" to provide confirmed alerts I set my motion sensor settings to be far more sensitive to hand more off to Deepstack and stand a better chance picking up the alerts I want. So far this is working extremely well. The negative...
