    What do you think about an outdoor fisheye for a front gate camera? I'm thinking of placing it above the buzzer so it will be at eye level. It would show me who's at the gate and might also provide good vehicle identifications.

    I hooked up the HDMI out from my NVR to a QAM modulator I picked up on eBay. The surveillance video is combined with cable TV. Now all of my TV’s can watch the cameras on channel 98.

    Thanks, these cameras look like great deals. Does Dahua have any warranty or firmware issues, like Hikvision cameras when you buy online? Also I'm not sure I need Varifocal, because the camera is very close to the subject. I'm guessing that the current camera is adjusted to 2.8mm.

    I think there's a conduit so I can probably swap the coax for Ethernet. I don't think it's a mask. The guy just has a giant nose. The other camera shows him stopping at each house on the block looking for stuff to steal. Unfortunately, it wasn't able to get a license plate.
