Can't find newer firmware for DH-SD29204S-GN
So the DH-SD29204S-GN I have won't let me enable WDR no matter what I try. Also, it won't allow passwords with special characters. Firmware is old from 2015. Is there newer firmware for it somewhere? I tried on the Dahua site, but it only has it for the T version, not the S version. Current... -

Here is the problem with those very nice cameras: I have to buy mounts for them and when 2+ units will come DHL, there will be customers taxes. So you end up with $200+ per camera. -

Simple answer: varifocal gets me the right FOV. 1. Vari I can dial in my FOV just right on every cam. 2. As I upgrade cams, I can move a cam to a different location and I can always get FOV right. -

Ideally I would have a PTZ with PIR motion inputs wired in right there. Point the PTZ directly to the driveway entry (West) and then have motion sensors trigger it to turn either North or South... but probably Starlight is cheaper. Problem we have is in my area postman just leaves packages on... -

I don't recall SD29204S-GN having alarm inputs (at least I am not seeing them from the config page). I am also running BI. Probably not a good setup for PIRs- agurkas

Good outdoor enclosure dome for blackface Dahua PTZ?
All these options I see for PTZs and I am just not seeing why I should spend $500+ when I can do $150 blackface PTZ + couple IR illuminators (would be nice to find curved oned that can do 120 or 180 degrees) + outdoor enclosure dome. Question: one enclosure I bought before is not longer...
