RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

Hi, no I have no codec packs installed and have all default settings. Strangest thing is I just installed Win 10 in a Virtualbox on my Mac and it works fine in VLC on that, however on the Mac itself and on Windows 10 installed via bootcamp on the Mac (basically dual boot system) it doesn't work...

RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

Thanks tried that but just the same for me – audio only coming through. I don't think I have the "Open location from clipboard" option. I just go to: "File > Open Network" and paste/type the URL and click "Open". It works fine with a sample RTSP URL I found on the internet. I have also tried...

RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

OK so I'm on a Mac, I thought VLC on Windows might prove better so just tried that but it instantly crashes with the Huisun RTSP stream. No idea why. This sample RTSP stream works fine on both: rtsp://media.smart-streaming.com/mytest/mp4:sample.mp4

RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

Thanks, tried that too but no difference :(. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't adding port number only necessary when outside of local network?

RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

OK so I installed an android app called simply 'RTSP Player' on my phone and rtsp://192.168.0.99 works just fine, so it must be a problem with VLC (though I can get another RTSP stream to play nicely).

RTSP URL for Huisun Mini PTZ v2

Does anyone know what the correct RTSP URL is for these cameras? I've tried using VLC to open the RTSP stream but all I can get is audio only (I have audio version with mic attached). I would have thought it would be as simple as: rtsp://192.168.0.99

Best deal on Imporx (Huisun) v2!

My v2 arrived this week. Took a total of 18 days to reach UK from order date. Plugged directly into router and simply went to http://192.168.0.99 and everything was up and running first time :D So far haven't run into any problems but haven't delved too far. Things I can confirm are working...

Mini PTZ V2 Suddenly Stopped Cold

He ordered an injector with higher wattage to rule out lack of power. That would be a splitter not an injector.

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

Ouch I didn't realise you need Wirecast Play Pro in order to use IP cameras. They sure know how to charge for these extra features! Again I don't know for sure as I haven't even got my hands on an ip camera yet but from a little Googling it seems they both support RTSP inputs: and for OBS...

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

What did you try? I have a v2 ordered and when it arrives I'm going to try set it up to stream to youtube live. Unfortunately YouTube Live cannot connect to the camera stream directly, it needs an intermediate computer/server to encode the cameras RSTP stream to an RTMP stream which YouTube...

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

annnnd online again  I guess it must be going offline now and again. I suppose it could either be problems with the camera, the computer or the internet connection (possibly could even be YouTube's end). Would be interesting to know what sort of uptime it has achieved and whether...

Huisun IP PTZ Camera, with Hikvision Protocols

:oh: It seems the live camera stream has gone offline. I wonder if barold took the stream offline deliberately or the camera has had a glitch? I'm hoping to setup a live youtube stream with this camera so would love to know.

IP Cameras Using 3G/4G Connection With No Public IP

Thanks for the reply. Yes I'm planning on using a 3G/4G router (TP-LINK TL-MR3420). That appears to be openWRT compatible. How does the OpenVPN work? Will it be likely to slow speed compared to peer-to-peer?

IP Cameras Using 3G/4G Connection With No Public IP

Hi, I want to install some IP cameras in a remote location (farm sheds) with no internet access. My plan was to create a network at the farm sheds using a 4G router: 8 Hikvision cameras Hikvision NVR or PC NVR Internet connection using 4G router & external 4G antenna I would like to be able...
