follow the guide on p1, you will brick your cam at the beginning but you will be able to resolve it, Took my some time but I eventually got it I have 15 more to do but I a do these in under 10 min each now thanks to all the people who invested their hard work into this. -

SUCCESS!!! Thank you so much for the help it was the write permissions on the PC, this computer is part of a domain and it wouldn't allow the mtdblock6 file to be transferred, then when I finally changed permissions and used tftp32 (not hikvisions) the file came through, HUGE THANKS!! -

I'm back at it, I tried running the programs in different directories on the PC with full permissions the mtd6ro_orig does transfer over. What flags me the most is the 1st error. i see on the screen (not in the log file) the next stage is : la /dav/fixup_stage:No such file or directory. When... -

And this is where my problem lies I can't get this file it doesn't extract. I can still communicate to 192.0.0.64 the /dav/fixup.sh always give me errors and now when I run rm /dav/fixup_stage* i get no such file or directory Will there be a point where I messed this beyond repair? I think... -

Thanks sorry for the messy post above I was about to clean it up before I saw this reply. Where do I get this mtd6 file? I didnt' get one in the downloaded files and nothing was extracted out of the camera when I ran the script. -

I tried to do the procedure on my chinese dc-2cd2032-i I can only find ds-2cd2032-i FW (English) I assume this is the one. I used brickfixV2 but on step one 1 got this error an error my cam ip is now 192.0.0.64 my pc ip is set correctly but my logs show. *** error transferring mtd6ro_mod... -

ok thanks for the advice. Tried to update one of my cams through the web interface it locked up I was able to reboot it via PCNVR and it is back to normal same old FW. I may try again via PCNVR since there is an update through it but since it's grey market not sure if I want to bother, I may... -

OK Thanks Right now I have my UPNP turned off on my routers, I have VPN access to but I have always left the port open to the Hik PCNVR because to view was easier. I can't access the cams directly I need to view them from the NVR. I haven't found any documentation about security flaws in... -

Yes hikvision discontinued a software called pcnvr you can still find it on the net. This software does exactly what I was hoping for. And very simple to setup. I think they wanted to sell nvrs and was thinking why give the same software out for free. It works well pretty solid never had issues... -
