Yes I am setting a static address. Not in the class C range (192.168.1. net), but the Class A range (10. net). Yes, in the network range for my LAN so I can access it. No, not setting a reservation in my router, but I think I will now.
Update on this. Lost access to the NVR again yesterday. I still had the monitor connected and when I checked the network settings, the IP address had changed back to the default again. I checked a few of the other settings and it looks like it is only the IP address being lost. Time and DST...
I would hope not. I have spoken to a couple of my mail carriers, just neighborly stuff mind you, but they seem like good people. But in my neighborhood they have the oldest equipment and I doubt they even have fire extinguishers on board. I think the truck they drive around here is the same...
My son had a 3' garter snake roaming through his living room a few months ago. His wife and daughter freaked out, but he just grabbed a camera. My son said it was kinda funny because the only way anyone knew it was there is because his dog just got behind him and started barking his ass off...
OK, I got it working again. I connected a monitor directly the the machine and it looked like it was still recording data, and all of the attached cameras were displayed on the grid. I didn't think to check the network settings though. Anyway, I re-flashed the firmware, then set all of the IP...
I'm asking because it seems I have just had another one fail. That is the second in about 4 years which seems far to often. For this latest one, I upgraded to the latest firmware about 3-4 months ago and it has been running fine. Until today. At some point overnight it hung up or something...
That IS much better. There are so many incompetent, arrogant, impatient, self-absorbed, "I'm more important than you", "I need to get in front of you to save me 2ms" drivers out there now.
The plastic handle would certainly be gone, but there was probably some metal parts still there that could have been grabbed with pliers or SOMEthing. Use the jaws of life to grab the end of the cable and pull. :lmao::lmao:
Plenty of blame to go around for both of them. The driver of the white car starts backing out, and even when the car enters the street the SUV is still not in frame. The white car driver's view of it coming may have been blocked by the other car parked on the street. But, the SUV was doing at...
I thought it funny that they couldn't get the hood open. At that point, why didn't they just open the door and use the hood release? It might have survived.
I live in an area where I have even had same day delivery, but with all this Covid crap, Prime 2-day is more like Prime 2-week. That is not an exaggeration. It's almost as bad as having things shipped from China.
OK, there is something I am not understanding. Doesn't the NVR supply the time information to the attached cameras?? The picture named NVR DST Settings are the time settings in my NVR5216-16p-4KS2. The other one is the time settings from one of the cameras attached to the NVR's PoE ports and...
I would just be glad that road isn't closer to the house. If I remember right, this isn't the first time that someone has left hazardous waste behind. or the second . . . or third . . .
