Newer cams go brick to ds-2cd-minsystem... serial if you upgrade from 525 or 528 to 530 even without hacking the mtds as well. You are saying upgrade from 523 or lower to 530 is fine? Anybody else tried 525 528 to 530?

TFTP should still force the firmware on. Firewall is off? But i see if you could downgrade, then settings look fine. I'm waiting for my USB adapter, but as I heard it's not complicated. You should ask @networkcameracritic At the moment I know that you have to connect the adapter to the...

    Hikvison Permanent Region Code Hack

Sorry I mistyped. 2032 can be mtd hacked (with correct checksum). Then leave the 5.1.6, upgrade back to 5.2.5, and do the mtd hack with good checksum. (check yourself that the actual checksum equals of the highlited area - analysis - checksum16 result). If it equals, then you can modify the...

Try with correct checksum http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/3222-Hikvision-Checksum?goto=newpost (if your camera is a 2032 or 2332 or 2232) Or if it's bricking, or other type (different, newer) you can try this current working solution regarding whoslooking: He made an 5.1.6 which can...

Regarding to whoslooking you can try: He made an 5.1.6 which can be bootable in most cases, won't brick if you downgrade, give it a try, if it boots, then do the mtd hack, and upgrade back to 5.2.5. Originally Posted by whoslooking HIKVISION 5.16 Full English including days of the weeks...

Have you changed the 02 to 01 at 1620th byte? (0x654) (Chinese to english)? Looks like not. I think you highlighted the wrong/not enough bytes, anyway you have to write to new checksum there, where I've highlighted it in the first picture - B2 08 The area should be F4 long (So it's 15 lines...
