    Identify the (non-IP) DVR?

This is not strictly IP Cam Talk so hope this is ok... Has anyone come across this DVR before? Just been helping a mate try to set it up, specifically the remote/App side of things, but struggling to find an app/settings combo to work. It's fairly old, was purchased from Yesss Electrical in the...

    4.4.0 - July 21, 2016

Reinstalled, didn't help - I wanted to do that anyway. Then found BI was configured to compress on the fly. Switched this to DTD and it now barely breaks 40% even when remote viewing. No idea how/when this encoding on the fly option changed, but hey.

    4.4.0 - July 21, 2016

Just had a quick play, fresh from a reboot, my machine 'idles' (BI as a Service) at around 40% CPU usage. As soon as I connect via iOS app, it hikes to 99%. Playing back a clip on the phone is jerky. Closing the iOS app, the CPU slowly drops to the idle usage %. Playing back the same clip in...

Format, Reinstall. My machine was a Win8.1, with an inplace upgrade to Win10. It's about 12 months old, so will benefit from a clean 10 install...

Machine is/was restarted :) That was test #1. I'm thinking of rebuilding to be fair, so will probably take that approach.

    4.4.0 - July 21, 2016

I've noticed playback via the IOS app is a little sluggish/jerkier since 4.4.0, upon investigation, I've found I'm almost always hitting 99% CPU now, from around 70%. Nothings changed, other than the auto update to 4.4.0... Anyone else??

New 'Motion' camera with no signal since 4.3.6.x

This returned in 4.3.7.0 & 4.3.7.1 ... I guess I could just prevent write access to the HKLM\Software\Perspective software\Blue Iris\Cameras reg key, but thats cheating.

New 'Motion' camera with no signal since 4.3.6.x

There is no camera to 'add back in'. This is a rogue camera that appears, it contains no valid information.

New 'Motion' camera with no signal since 4.3.6.x

Support said; Right click the camera and select Delete camera. All entries in the registry under HKLM\Software\Perspective software\Blue Iris\Cameras are considered camera entries... could something else be creating registry entries there? and then I think I did find a place where this could...

New 'Motion' camera with no signal since 4.3.6.x

I've already emailed support... My storage is negative as I have two thin provisioned VM's on that drive, which is causing BI to report inaccurately. It's no biggy. CPU is normally around 65%, I had 3 camera's triggered at the time of taking this screenshot and I was signed in via TeamViewer...

New 'Motion' camera with no signal since 4.3.6.x

Since updating to 4.3.6.0 (and subsequently 4.3.6.1) I’ve been given an additional camera, called Motion, which triggers the ‘no signal’ alarm (because this camera doesn’t exist). I’ve no idea where this has come from? I deleted it in 4.3.6.0, but it returned when my machine updated to...

    Camera delay/gap w/remote desktop connection...

RDP (VNC, TeamViewer etc...) will never give a true representation. The connections are compressed etc... What you need to know is that regardless of what you're seeing, you should be recording fluid events. This discussion is kinda similar...

I've increased the Contrast to 65, not had any false positives and there has been muchos cloud action. However, I have not yet been able to test object detection.

It's the opposite for me. Since 4.3.0.6, clouds/shadows seem to be triggering false positives. One thing I have never gotten my head around is the Minimum Contrast option... What changes do you think I could make to limit shadows causing a FP?

When you say 'not working', what exactly does that mean? What do you get/not get/see/not see? I'm (back) Running as a Service, on Windows 10, 1511 x64, with "Use Intel Hardware acceleration for H.264 decoding" ticked. PS. Motion and Running as a Service seems fixed in 4.3.0.2

If you want ALL the image to be monitored, why not tick use Zones and Hotspot, and just rectangle all of Zone A to be 'green'? I think that should do it, though I'm still trying to get my head around this new zonal thing myself :D

Is that bit part of your motion detection region? I've just checked mine, and whilst Zone A has adopted the old Motion Region, it looks like the Zones other than A are set to 'blanket' record ANY motion. Could this be happening with you too? edit: Infact, I've just checked again, and my Zone A...

It does say the motion algorithm has been reformulated, perhaps its just a case of finding the sweet spot again..?

I like this change. Hopefully we can define different levels of motion awareness per zone. However, like you, my Zone A is 'broken' and I get a crash when editing the zones. I too, am running as a service on Windows 10, 1511. edit: As you mention, switching to .exe (from Service) does still...
