is this cheap no-brand poe switch interesting?

Thanks for the suggestions all. That TPLINK 8-port gigabit switch seems interesting,...but according to this review (and some of the comments on amazon), the 8-port poe version (TL-SG1008PE) has a very loud fan (which i can't have in my bedroom) :( I was thinking about two 4 port TPLinks too...

is this cheap no-brand poe switch interesting?

Really, no issues sofar? is it on 24/7? And you're using all 8 ports as POE (which cams are you using with that switch)? Now that no-name switch seems interesting again...

is this cheap no-brand poe switch interesting?

You are right. It def looks shady (but tempting at the same time). Does anyone have a recommendation for me (looking for a non-expensive silent switch with 8 poe ports)?

is this cheap no-brand poe switch interesting?

I understand that. i guess it seems too good to be true (but you have to admit, the feedback seems very positive! It almost seems worth the risk). But i know better than going against fendermans sound advices. Do you know a better/safer alternative that fits my use?

is this cheap no-brand poe switch interesting?

Hi all, I am looking for a non-expensive silent switch with 8 poe ports (and 1 uplink ofcourse). It will be used for seven (maybe eight) 4MP Dahua ipcams. I've seen this switch on aliexpress that seems to meet the above requirements...

POE switch necessary in my scenario with POE NVR ?

Thank you fenderman and zero-degrees. Then my main concern now is...which (Dahua) POE NVR to get (for the four 4MP Dahua's). If POE NVR's are too expensive, then maybe a non-POE NVR with POE switches is still the way to go...

POE switch necessary in my scenario with POE NVR ?

Scenario: - There are 4 POE camera's (most likely 4MP Dahua's) close to the bedroom. - The main router is in the bedroom. - The POE NVR (most likely 8 channel) will be in the same bedroom as well (actually right beside the main router). If a POE switch will be used, then this will have to be...

IPVM 4MP Shootout - Dahua vs Hikvision

Thank you John!!! Your posting is very kind as we were eager for a full Dahua vs Hikvision 4MP headon shootout on plain level field and even grounds. Your test seems to deliver just that. That shootout comparison looks very interesting! You just made a lot of friends :) From this snippet I...

IPVM 4MP Shootout - Dahua vs Hikvision

It seems no one is able to get a glimpse of the test results. Too bad because it seems really interesting to all of us. Maybe there is a way to pay for access to only this specific test result.

IPVM 4MP Shootout - Dahua vs Hikvision

So IPVM has done a 4MP shootout with the Dahua IPC-HFW4421S and the Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I ! The test is over here: http://ipvm.com/report/test-4mp-dahua-hikvision Unfortunately the test is members-only. Does anyone know the general end-result (was there a clear winner)? I'm not asking for...

is a anyone using dahua camera built-in nvr

Can't you just directly login to the NAS (eg through FTP) and stream the video files? This is ofcourse after exposing the NAS to the outside world (just as you did with the camera interface for login without being connected to the LAN).

    Dahua 4mp, 6mm turrets (IPC-HDW4421C)

Wow, these screenshots look nice! i can't believe these 4MP turrets sell for $80. I'm seriously doubting now whether to go for the hikvision 2332 or these (with a 2.8 mm lens). Can these camera's also directly record to a NAS (say synology)? And are they compatible with most NVR's? I'm also...

    Replacement for 2332 ?

Thanks for the advice Del Boy! Unfortunately I am on a tight budget ($120 inc shipping per camera is as far as I can go for now as I need 4 of them outdoor). That's why the 2332/3334 seems about right for me. But which one to get (going back to the original topic): 2332 or 3332? Which firmware...

    Replacement for 2332 ?

Unfortunately I'm not in the US. I already contacted milkisbad, but he doesn't do international shipping. So it seems my only affordable option is aliexpress. Therefor I want to ask, which 2332 (OR 3332) firmware is recommended? On aliexpress I see all kinds of firmware versions ranging from...

    Replacement for 2332 ?

I'm in the same situation as geek7899. I'm also looking for the 2332 and it's somewhat harder now on Aliexpress, but not impossible. I've seen some 2332's with firmware 5.2.0, 5.2.5, 5.3.0 and even 5.3.3. Which one is recommended? Just the latest? I've also seen 2335 with firmware 5.3.3 (if i'm...
