    It’s not that I have a cheap switch, Unifi 24 port POE with 250 Watts of power, I just wanted to ensure that the power specs were on point, as I’m running 5 AP’s and 2 tablets with POE as well, didn’t want a spike.

    Wow, that is amazing. Can you share that with Blue Iris for facial recognition? Also, I see the cameras I purchased as Face Detection but not people detection. Does that mean it only does face or will do both? I purchased the famed 5442, and I did not read it does cars, so can I keep AI for cars?

    I have them on a separate VLAN that is not allowed to talk to the rest of the system, I can only talk to them. I am utilizing a Unifi system; is this not advisable?

    Little off topic sorry, but you use the person detection on the cameras? I’d imagine you use blue Iris, so you use that instead of the AI within the program?

    "I want 2.8mm cameras everywhere to see everything..." - This is why you need specific FOVs with purposeful focal lengths.

    Great post! I’m def starting small but wiring everything at ~8ft.

    To clarify I am looking for a POE indoor camera that can be mounted inside down and if possible have tilt and pan. Also, to access my camera's you have to VPN into my system as if you were "home" to access them, they do not have access to the internet outside my house
