[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

What did I do? I just fixed it.. I'm not sure exactly what I did. I went into services.msc, and confirmed the Docker desktop service was set to automatic, I changed the login to my current w/password. Restarted the service, then rebooted. It appears to work?

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Yuck.. it's not a container issue, that starts up right when docker starts. But when I get into windows, Docker is saying the service isn't running and asks if I would like to start it. Well sure, I hit yes and it goes, but why isn't the service starting?? :( I have it set to automatic, i...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I'm an idiot I was passing in the wrong argument. I had some extra crap at the end from Copy and paste error.. Now I'm onto the next issue.. AITool running as a service, but when I reboot Docker desktop comes up yelling that it is not running as a service. The command line docker restart...

Blue Iris picture frame / UI3 camera viewing station

Will do.. I've got this running now: https://mrworf.github.io/photoframe/2018/02/26/setting-up-photoframe.html It'd be killer to have my frame cycle through photos, UI3, maybe local weather ;) Now you've got me intrigued!!

Blue Iris picture frame / UI3 camera viewing station

Revive!! I've got my own photo frame running on a pi tied into google photos. Does shotwell support displaying images from Google Photos? Sorry if I missed why you stopped using google photos.. WAF for me depends on her being able to "add to album" on the go and it just showing up on our frame..

    Alert with pre-trigger

I've got my system running continuous recording, with a 10 second pre-trigger buffer. Alerts sending 10 second video to email. Great except what 10 seconds of video is sent? It appears it sends 10 seconds from the alert on. I'd prefer to see the pre-trigger through the alert. Anyway to do this?

    Ho ho oh no

I get that, but what I'm showing here is that with IR off on the left and with IR on, on the right. There is margin improvement, if any. Would it benefit from an off camera ir source? Sure, but the ir on camera does not help and actually hurts the motion detection as it causes near field blow...

    Ho ho oh no

Well.. I'm an n00b. I just shut my IR off completely and I'm good to go. I've got a light next to the doorway this is observing. Along with architectural lighting on the front of the house and the neighbor's.. the IR provides no benefit. I've got BLC on.. these starlight cameras are remarkable.

    Ho ho oh no

Awesome, illuminator in my case would need to be in front of the camera but could point away from the lens, towards, or across the face. I assume towards would be bad and across the face would add glare. Would it be reasonable to mount the illuminator at the same corner of the house but at a...

    Ho ho oh no

It's that time of year. Snow is coming down and I just got my 2nd camera up.. recording continuously, but alerts just raining in as the snow is detected as motion. Yuck. My recording is 5fps, so the snow has long "trails". Do I set contrast and object size high? I want alerts for humans. I...

Cable gland or alternative for PFA130-E

Correct, o wasn't necessarily looking for the ability to feed the connector through, but it does fit after the fact. It is a very good seal. I understand the conduit discussion, but for installs where that is not practical or possible, this is a win.

Cable gland or alternative for PFA130-E

Yea whole thing is coax sealed in the box, but no room for conduit. This fits along a vinyl side and stone veneer wall

Cable gland or alternative for PFA130-E

As promised, here are the pictures. It works!! Threads well, matches well, and seals nicely. I was concerned at first, but after tightening the outer nut the cable grommet cinched down nicely onto the jacket

Cable gland or alternative for PFA130-E

We'll see.. $13 for 3 is steep, but if it gives the right solution, that's fine. I'll post up the result for future reference to others.

Cable gland or alternative for PFA130-E

I've got a few installs about to go up. All but 1 will be tucked away underneath trim, siding, etc. These runs will then enter the PFA130-E through one of the tapped conduit holes. I'd like to reduce this and ordered a cheap set of glands off Amazon. Turns out I don't think they'll fit. I saw...
