Help finding a wall bracket for a Dahua bullet IPC-B5442T-ASE to see around a corner

HI all. Have a look at my dodgy drawing. I've installed a bunch of cams with no issues. This one needs to be mounted on a side wall, but "see" around the corner. I have a matching mounting baseplate PFA130-E, however it will bring the base of the cam (circular plate) off the wall by only...

    IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS latest new firmware General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.15OG004.0.R.201203

I keep getting stuck on "Rebooting, please wait" when trying to update firmware. I'm logging directly into camera (t5241h-as-pv) IP, via the blue "explorer icon" on the NVR, and go to "upgrade". Keeps getting stuck at reboot stage. Ideas? Cheers, Mat

Sorry Andy I don't understand? I am still getting stuck on the "rebooting, please wait", with a completed orange taskbar. Nothing happens after that. Does this mean the update is finished, even though it's saying "please wait"? And thanks Panda, but my setup uses 192.168.50.....numbers. I...

Hi guys/Andy, Just trying to update this firmware onto my IPC-t5241h-as-pv Can I please check I'm doing it correctly: I went to link I downloaded the .BIN file I logged into my cam directly (using the blue web symbol for that cam via the main NVR web interface) I put in the BIN file under "file...

Want to start afresh. Ideal setup to watch Clips from Dahua NVR?

Hi again all. To start, here’s my setup: NVR - Dahua DHI-NVR5216-16p-4ks2e (2x4TB drives) Cams - I have a range of recent Dahua cam’s: ipc-t5241h-as-pv, 2x ipc-t5442tm-as, etc......(6 in total) The house (including cams) is wired with CAT6. All cam’s connected directly to NVR, then NVR...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Ah yeah. It’s all coming back. Again a little help! - I take it the “ANR” means a cam will record to an installed SD if the network is down? - what’s “M&A”? - assume I ignore all the “POS” (point of sale) stuff? - I have a house alarm but keeping it separate for now. It’s physically...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

I’ve left the cam’s as they were, and all the various settings/rules have remained. I have made sure that p2p is disabled on each of them. Out of interest, when I go to a cam, and look at “TCP/IP” under network, I notice the default gateway (which I have always assumes means the address of my...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

No worries. I’ll do that and see what happens! Bloody annoying as someone asked me if I’d seen anyone steal a bag off her bike the other day, and I don’t seem to be able to access the footage. It should have been recording, as the cam’s functions such as light coming on if tripped after hours...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Ok update time. I ended up factory resetting the NVR. I suspect the primary issue - not being able to access the NVR at all (even though it seemed to be running) - was that my old router assigned IP’s between 192.168.1.1 and .253, whereas my NEW router uses 192.168.50.1.... So when I reset the...

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

Thanks for asking 1st! Only if pics are not claimed as your own (perhaps a simple credit like “Example of installed product” or something. Cheers! Mat

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Roger that. The thing is that I don’t recall ever turning on the P2P. I must’ve done something silly whilst on the initial learning curve. I’ll try the suggested as soon as I get a chance (it’s a pain unplugging it all to dig out of cupboard, plug in a monitor and mouse, etc. should get a...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

I reckon it may well be time to start from scratch with a factory reset and set it up properly again. At least I know how to do the cams and their special functions now. Otherwise I fear I’m gonna keep hitting these weird snags as I go. On that note, I have read here that I should enable a...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Ok now we’re onto something. I had ensured p2p was disabled on the setup, however it’s coming up as p2p on the iDMSS+ app..... I’ll look into it!

***PSA for those with a New DAHUA NVR with Built-in PoE switch

I notice you have a 192.168.50.1 address for you router. I've just upgraded to a new Asus NT-AX86U from an old Asus. Previously, the router allocated 192.168.1.xxx numbers, and now I get 192.168.50.xxx I have lost the ability to simply type the IP of the NVR in a browser to access its GUI...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Yeah DHCP had been off. I had assigned 192.168.50.2 as a static address for the NVR, so I thought I'd try removing that and see what happens. Yes, I can still see the cam's via IDMSS when they're all plugged in. Weird indeed.... So what settings should I insert when I try turning off DHCP on...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

I suspect this is all to do with when I got my new router (upgraded from older Asus to new one). All my addresses changed from (more familiar) 192.168.1.xxx to 192.168.50.xxx...... Given I might also have some dodgy setups from my 1st initial setup, should I start over?

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Ok. Here’s a few screenshots. The “test” function is coming up “connection failed”.... My Asus router has a LAN address at 192.168.50.1

    NVR - freezing, lagging, delays

I’ve had issues with all browsers except Explorer (the one I never use!). It’s especially a problem when a tripwire or other rule is triggered - I get a dropout and a lag time, right when you want the best pics! Explorer seems to fix it....

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Hi again all. I'm still yet to get about to undertaking a full reset as per Catcamstar's suggestions. In the meantime however, for my own learning (the curve can be rather steep!), I'm still a bit confused about the whole IP address thing. The situation: I can see that my NVR is still...

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Thanks all. I plan (when I get a chance) to install my final 2 cams, factory reset the NVR and start from scratch. I suspect alot of my issues are from learning as I go, so I suspect restarting shouldn't now be too hard.....

Where did my Dahua NVR GUI access go?

Another issue! I can see my NVR on my router (192.168.50.175), but I can't log into it.....! I reckon it's time to get around to Catmaster's suggestions and start from scratch..... On that note: I have 2 more cam's to install (cat6 direct to NVR). Should I do this AFTER factory reset? Does...

Dahua Face Detection and IVS tripwire no event notification DMSS app

Which NVR are you using? Does it have the capability to run these functions? I had tried to set up all this stuff until I came to learn my cam's could do it, but the NVR couldn't!

IVS rules won't work on my two IPC-t5442tm-as 5mp 2.8mm cameras

I've gone back and redone all changes on the cam's only (as opposed to using the NVR GUI). So, for example, I log directly into one of the IPC-t5442tm-as cam's, turn on IVS, set a few tripwires and turn on motion detection, save, done. Thing is, when I try "search" on the NVR in order to review...

IVS rules won't work on my two IPC-t5442tm-as 5mp 2.8mm cameras

Doing so on the cam (as you've suggested previously - thanks mate. Helpful). I'll try to wipe them off the NVR and see if that works. It's always so variable what works cam to cam. Really annoying!

IVS rules won't work on my two IPC-t5442tm-as 5mp 2.8mm cameras

Hi gang. My next issue to sort out! First the system for reference: NVR DHI-NVR5216-16p-4ks2e All cameras directly connected via Cat6. All firmware up to date. Using the NVR's GUI via Microsoft Explorer. Altering cam settings via their direct GUI's. Have 3 other Dahua cams without the...

Dahua cams/NVR dropping frame sections right at the money shot

Yep that was the issue. Would play along fine until hitting a "triggered" section (motion/IVS/tripwire), then would blank out briefly, then play a loop around and around with same blanks each round. For people's interest, I never use Explorer (horrible), but I read this didn't happen using...

Dahua cams/NVR dropping frame sections right at the money shot

yep been through all that I think. I just tried swapping to Explorer 11 (just to try the GUI with that) and it seems to have stopped the loop/stagger problem when playing back triggered footage. Good.
