    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

What firmware version are you on with the POE problems? Is it possible the newer ones with this issue have a firmware with a compatibility issue maybe? Where have they been brought in from? When it's been tried with the managed switches unsuccessfully was anything logged in the switch log at all?

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

Support came back to me and confirmed this should now be fixed in 5.0.2.4 - it's scheduled to happen at 2am so I'll check it in the morning

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

I'd installed 5.0.2.3 yesterday morning and installed 5.0.2.4 this morning so we'll see.

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

I've sent Ken some details, basically it seems to create a new clips2.dat file but doesn't seem to try and replace the old one before it errors, we'll see what he says :)

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

I usually keep the BlueIris structure on each disk just to make it easy in future if I ever decide to split things off again, ie \BlueIris\New, \BlueIris\Stored etc. I just logged in to update to the latest release and saw that some of the continuous video was showing as missing with blank...

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

I had a copy of the DB folder but it deleted 2TB of actual BVR video data so I'd need to use something to pull those files back and to be honest a lot of it I didn't actually need. We've got an issue with a neighbour so I didn't want to keep BI offline while I recovered the older video files...

(Solved) BI5, Alerts only lasting anywhere from 5hrs to 3 days before deletion

Unfortunately I got burned earlier and should have read here first - my DB was showing as corrupted and a repair / regenerate wasn't doing the business so stopped the service, deleted the DB folder and at the next startup housekeeping wiped out everything older than the thresholds in clip...

    Blue Iris UI3

Wow that was a quick turnaround thank-you very much @bp2008 - I'll keep an eye out for that one. I'm still getting to grips with some of the new features in BI5 but it's great so far, just having a dabble with the AI side now, lots of new things to play with :)

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Just purely if it was a special character usually they need an escape character for it to know not to process it, ie the back slash character in Linux is an escape character so if that was in a username or password it would need special handling. Are you familiar with Wireshark as it may be...

    Blue Iris UI3

To be honest I only found it while testing things out after the upgrade - it might be safer to leave it as is if it's just us that see it as normal alerts work great thank-you and a double click isn't the end of the world. I was more hoping it wasn't a corrupt DB so I'm happy at that thank-you...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Are you using any special characters in the username or password Dave? Wondering if maybe something isn't getting escaped properly - definitely sounds like one for BI support though.

    Blue Iris UI3

A random one for you @bp2008 please - I've sent this to Ken / support as well but since I went to 5 I've noticed a strange behaviour with flagged alerts (it seems fine when just viewing all alerts without ticking flagged). I went straight from the last 4.x release to 5.0.1.0 a couple of days...

    Smearing on W10 1903 w/ Intel HD4600 driver 15.40.42.5063

I'm still in the process of sorting out niggles with my BI box since updating to Blue Iris 5 and I updated to Windows 10 1903 yesterday which brought along the latest Intel driver 15.40.42.5063 and this is now causing smearing in Blue Iris videos. It's listed as known good on the Wiki but...

    Prebuffer setting ignored in 5.0.2.0?

You've upgraded to 5.0.2.0 which was released yesterday? This setup has been fine for two years until 5.0.2.0. In terms of iframe I've got a mixture of some matching and some set at double the frame rate. I'm just upgrading Windows to 1903 to see how that goes.

    5.0.2 - August 12, 2019 - ALPR support using Plate Recognizer

Sign up for the free trial from the Learn more button in BI and you'll be given the API token to paste into that box in BI - I tried it earlier and it works fine - for now it seems the license plate info is just added to the full Blue Iris GUI and not in UI3.

    Prebuffer setting ignored in 5.0.2.0?

I finally got around to the 5.x upgrade going from the last 4.x release to 5.0.1.0 - I've updated to 5.0.2.0 today and it seems my cameras are now ignoring the prebuffer setting (I have it set to 3 seconds for triggered motion). Is anyone else seeing this please? Looking at the captured alerts...

    5.0.1 - August 1, 2019 -Intel MFX library (2019R1)

I've just gotten around to finally doing mine with this version and it seems to have worked fine. I went through the upgrade guide on here: Blue Iris 4 to 5 Migration Guide I run as a service so just had to ensure it was disabled before the upgrade and then re-enabled afterwards. The only...

Recommendation for an upgrade from SD49225T-HN

The same happened on my 59225 even down to the same strange interface issues - I took it down and recrimped the cabling at the camera end and it's been perfect ever since so hopefully yours will be similar and you won't need the spend just yet. It was passing cable tests as was, but after...

It's amazing how many references there are to Alhua on the net from that logo too :D

Email Bug fixed Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_Eng_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619.zip

The cameras all expose SNMP and I have a system here running called LibreNMS - LibreNMS Basically that polls the live performance data which the camera exposes and then logs it all for reporting purposes and can alert when systems go down etc. On these cameras they expose CPU usage, network...

Email Bug fixed Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_Eng_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000008.0.R.190619.zip

All 5231s here updated and running happily - I just noticed one had been running at 100% CPU for over two months (it's uptime was almost 90 days). That was running the March 2019 firmware so odds are whatever was wrong there was fixed but I'll keep an eye out. Actually from checking the camera...

For Fun - Post Your PTZ Stats

From my SD59225 with IVS autotracking on so the numbers are high - the stats are hidden in the latest firmwares but still in the source. Think it's about 18 months old now. Time in high temp: 1 hour 59 minutes Time in low temp: 0 ICR Switch: 1900 PTZ Horizontal Rotation Times: 242546 PTZ...

What causes fixed-cam to go out of focus 2-year later?

Are the ones with the issue facing the sun? If so could be long term heat shifting (ie expansion when hot and contraction when cold) ever so slightly adjusting the focal point of the lens. The lens are usually screw in - you can normally remove the existing glue (if any) with a heat gun /...

    20190627 New catalog

I see a few cameras in there with 1/1.7" 12MP Starvis sensors - are they the replacements for the 8MP already? Have to admit I'd been thinking about an IPC-HFW1831E or 2831 to replace my overview but may wait to see how these 12MP perform now.

[Pictures] SD59225 struck by lightning... Warranty? DIY fix?

That's incredible that still works - I was expecting that to be toast as well after seeing those first pics! Do you get much lightning where you are? We tend to just get rain where we are in the UK and the odd sunny day (where I usually get sunburn and sunstroke on the first sign of the big...

    DH-SD6CE245U Stuck

Silly question but have you ever cut power to the camera or just soft reset it via the web interface? I've seen an issue with one of my PTZs twice now that won't go away with a soft reboot, but requires a full cold reboot so total power loss to the camera for 30 seconds or so. If you haven't...

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

It's trial and error with firmwares, you really need to try and see what works best for your circumstances. Just to confirm, after changing my camera to 60fps I've had dropped frames so I've returned to 15fps, hoping that problem goes away but as the camera was following things there is 5...

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

OK that's two different problems - video lockups like you were having and IVS working randomly are two very different things. If it's autotracking working randomly then yes the newer firmwares definitely seem to get confused at times with it seeming to have a dodgy alhorithm with autotracking...

SD59230U-HNI Spazzing out when trying IVS?

Have you both turned on OSD clock and temperature as initial troubleshooting? And you're both on the latest firmware Andy posted (Kamakzie I can see you are) PTZ Firmware update 20190326 I don't get these lockups - I bought my 59225 from a UK reseller in early 2018 to get free Dahua training...
