What is Hikvision "Live-Guard" and is anyone using it?
Looks like there has been no further development by Hikvision. At least for the G2 series cameras. I tried the beta firmware last year but it had some issues so I reverted back to the standard firmware while I waited for a newer release which never came. -

I might be wrong but the Gen2 ColorVu 8MP camera is a box camera? Its a different beast but yes, from what I've seen in a number of reviews it produces outstanding night images. Maybe that's where I should be looking. Its just that I really like the Turret format. -
