That helps and makes it more difficult. RTSP streams are not going work with the Spotify trick (pretty sure), MJPEG from the sub-stream maybe. I can't get around the ONVIF login requirement on my Hikvision camera but I'll keep trying. I'll check the Raymarine CAM200IP manual and get back to you. -

Interesting, the DS-7204HGHI-SH is a network DVR 'TriBrid'. I believe the cameras must have the same user/password as the DVR if they are activated. If that is the case, try add them using the Custom Adding option instead of the Quick Add. You could also try a factory reset and NOT activate... -

Keep in mind, once you upgrade to v5.6.0 or v5.6.1 you can't go back to older firmware. -

If your NVR serial number has a CH around the position highlighted below I'd advise against firmware updates. There is a risk of bricking the device. I can't say for sure the newer firmware would enable h265 anyway. -

I don't believe the DS-7608NI-E2 supports h.265 out-the-box. Have you tried upgrading the firmware on the NVR? -

Perhaps the IR filter is stuck. Hikvision should replace the camera if it's under 3 years old. I'd detach the camera and test it with a new cable, upgrade the firmware if possible. Try give it a firm tap when its glitching too. -

Glad you came right. On a side note, I've been looking into the issue a bit more and I suspect the problem is with the server side application. When iVMS-4200 v3.1 is installed several processes are added that need the SSDP discovery service. I'll update as I narrow the issue down. -
