How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

These are my settings. I appreciate the explanation you provided with your settings, however with that said, do my setting look like I'm asking for my hardware to do too much? Also the Rockchip board looks affordable enough but I have no idea how to interface it with my Win 11 NUC. Any guidance...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

"Images are queued on BI until timeout, and if you hit timeout, it stops processing--but unless your queue is very deep, it might not be a problem." Could you explain how I may determine if my queue is deep enough and if it's possible to change its size. "BI and CPAI compete for cycles and can...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

So based on all the tweaks I've made with everyone's great suggestions, would it be fair to say my little NUC computer (which obviously can't accommodate a GPU) is simply not capable of processing 2 and 3 car's plates in quick succession? Here's one of my latest plate grabs with the processing...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

So, here are my current settings. Lowered frames to 5, got rid of DoNotCancel, added pizza. I'm using YOLOv5.NET. I didn't understand where/how to "turn off the standard model and only use a single custom model for any single camera". Please advise. I still need to upgrade to ALPR Database...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Just curious, can you or have you captured two or three vehicle's plates in a row rather close together? If so, can you post an image or two of that?

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

I will soon have another camera online to handle traffic in the other direction but until then, I was hoping to figure out the two and three cars in a row situation. Any front mounted plate captures are just a bonus for now.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

I did update "To Confirm" , but as I was monitoring traffic, here's something that happened and might offer a clue. A car passed by at 3:21:35 PM and was plate identified, but then not right behind, but 12 seconds later at 3:21:47PM, another car passed but was not picked up, analyzed, and listed...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Lots of rain to start the day and everyone was slow to get out. I did finally encounter a two car group. After having changed all the settings per everyone's recommendations (which really boosted plate grabbing and indentification for single passing cars) my system was still not able to grab the...

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

I'll set up and test the new zone suggestions tomorrow when daylight returns and traffic starts up again. Thanks

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Just to be clear, CPAI reads and posts the plates all day long, it just ignored the instance I submitted which had two vehicles, one right behind the other at that moment.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

From where the first vehicle enters the frame to where the second one leaves the frame, 3-4 seconds transpire. Cars doing about 40MPH.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

Yes, that's max zoom. Plates at night are OK. Still fighting with the zoom but that's an issue for another day.

How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

To those who have conquered multiple plate reads in quick succession, I could sure use some advice. I've included some screen shots of my computer horsepower (or lack thereof), chosen camera to do the work, and the road scene which usually totally ignores reading the plates with the shown actual...

Follow up question. My set-up is working fairly well however, I need some advice on the next challange I'm facing. Acquiring plate numers from two or more cars following in quick succession (reference attached photo). I know this is a loaded question as many variables are in play here, i.e...

algertc, so, after your post# 660, I did nothing else but follow those instructions. I woke up this morning and after the sun started to illuminate the road, my system began to catch fish (I mean license plates). Yahoo! Before I do anything else, I'm going to save an image of the hard drive so...

Very clear instructions. I've made the changes. I don't have night cameras on line yet so it will be tomorrow morning that I hope I wake up to a screen full of images, graphs, and plate data. Thanks much for your guidance.

Now my head really hurts. Fresh install of the ALPR Database program using the "manual" method, and still getting this in the log with no data on the dashboard. BI and CodeProject catching and identifing license plates just fine. Made sure i updated my Key as well. Possibly a misconfiguration in...

OK, This repair/troubleshooting process is confusing at best for me. How about this. I go into DockerDesktop, delete my instance of ALPR Database, and attempt the manual installation? Everything looks straight forward except one thing. After all the directories are made and the files have been...

OK, I need you to slow down as this is a steep learning curve for me. I did the 192.168.68.111:3000/update migration process and that was successful. Then went to "GitHub - algertc/ALPR-Database: Fully-Featured Automated License Plate Recognition Database for Blue Iris + CodeProject AI Server"...
