How to capture multiple plate reads in quick succession?

To those who have conquered multiple plate reads in quick succession, I could sure use some advice. I've included some screen shots of my computer horsepower (or lack thereof), chosen camera to do the work, and the road scene which usually totally ignores reading the plates with the shown actual example. I know there are literally a million combinations of settings between Blue Iris and the camera to make this scenario work (I've already played with the first half million... unsuccessfully), so I was wondering if someone would be willing to share a collection of their setup/screen shots where it's working for them. Perhaps the trigger object detection/zones and hot spots, alert/AI configuration in BI, and their camera settings. Thanks

As I said in the other thread, there are so many other version of BI out there, it would be most for you to post you BI screenshots of motion and AI tabs so we see what you are starting with.

How quick is quick? At that angle, I think BI will consider that as a single event as the first vehicle is still triggering the event while the second vehicle makes it down the road.

Also keep in mind that camera itself doesn't read plates.

You need to use the CPAI LPR module for it to work, and based on what you are showing, we have no idea if even that first step has been done, hence asking for the screenshots to know what you have tried.

I appreciate what you're asking for. Here's what I have for starters...1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg7.jpg8.jpg9.jpg10.jpg11.jpg12.jpg13.jpg14.jpg16.jpg

When you run the .dat file thru the AI on the BI status tab, what does it show?

You zones might be too small for what you are trying to accomplish.

Uncheck the object travels 4 pixels option.

From where the first vehicle enters the frame to where the second one leaves the frame, 3-4 seconds transpire. Cars doing about 40MPH.

It is clear from your image that CPAI is not reading the plate. Hopefully @MikeLud1 sees something with your settings (yours is a newer version than mine) as to why it isn't reading plates.

Just to be clear, CPAI reads and posts the plates all day long, it just ignored the instance I submitted which had two vehicles, one right behind the other at that moment.

OK - that will be fixed with Mike' suggestion. As I said, I thought your zones were too small.
