Required poe or power supply specs

Yes, the first option - cheap crap... Not recommended, i guess. But in general - not for poe only - what is the relevant power supply spec to be used with this camera? (Assuming it has a power cable of about 3 feet - 10m and connected to a single cam) - what is the required current?

Required poe or power supply specs

Hi, I would like to buy a single injector for a Dahua cam (5442 - IRE - not led). This is the voltage and consumption specs: Power Supply DC 12V (±30%), PoE (802.3af) (Class 0) Power Consumption <7.2W I'm not sure about the required poe injector to buy. It should be <7.2W, so 12v/1a will...

    remote recording using PC-NVR

I also use an external switch devices, but then I loose all of the AI capabilities of my XVR. I believe it is because I have an XVR and this is its limitation (XVR has COAX/AHD inputs, but can work with external switch devices). I should have bought an NVR...

    connecting NVR to blue iris

Hi, I'm about to have the same router (er605). I don't have a switch, since I have 3 peripherals (XVR-NVR, 2 cams) which I'm going to connect directly to the router (does it make sense?) As I understand from you, a switch is needed for keeping the Giga speed. in my case the ISP speed is limited...

    VPN Primer for Noobs

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I just wonder how come the camera (assuming its port blocked by the firewall) is still available for the vms? If it is too complicate, i'll pass. Thanks.

    VPN Primer for Noobs

Another question; Is a camera or an nvr which placed remotly, but connected via a private vpn, is considered as a local network element? (E.g. A home vpn client is connected to the office vpn server in where the camera/nvr are located ).

Hi, i would like to but a router which works on DSL and has a built-in vpn server (no need of wifi). I wonder how can i be sure that this router has a vpn? (XVR has only coax input connectors + a single IP input for network connectivity. it can get though an IP input as well). I've added a Dahua IPC (ipc-hdw5442tm-ase) to my XVR ( XVR5104HS-4KL-I3). Currently the entire video stream from this IPC is being recorded into my XVR HDD. Adding an IP...

No, ofcourse it will be connected to the internet. I need to be able to control the xvr-recorder remotely. I believe that my setup should have a router which gets an input (downlink) from the ISP. The router will be connected to the poe switch as well as my ip cameras and xvr - is it correct...
