    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

LOL Once again I think it’s what you get used to. Feature wise it blows the doors off if UI3 or the BI app from what I can tell. I mean you essentially have to use 3 apps to get the functionality of DMSS BI app, UI3, Pushover app and Im guessing they dont talk to each other. I actually updated...

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

I see, so it would be ok on desktop but really small on mobile, and clunky? You guys still set/get instant notifications with pic and video, all the basic mobile functionality ? I’m guessing no P2P capability? So +1 for DMSS App integration to Dahua NVRs

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

So is UI3 a mobile app? I seriously have no idea. As long as it works, I mean the Dahua DMSS app was 3rd party

Let’s talk about the mobile App…how’s the BI app?

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

^^^ LOL I must disagree. Using SmartPSS could not be easier, as I've shown in videos. And you can do everything you show as far as defining groups, switching groups with a click, open a single camera, back to groups, all of that is simple one click in SmartPSS Of course the biggest advantage...

    Network security questions

#1 you need to check your router, and maybe have someone with networking experience look at it. Make 100% sure you are not port forwarding and do not have UpNp enabled. Your NVR is a PoE model?, if so are ALL cameras plugged into this and have 10.1.1.X addresses? Any stray wifi or other cams...

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

SmartPSS total bonehead minuses that make it a pain in the rear to use: 1. Need to first press the "+" button to zoom/pan on a camera image. 2. Zoom lost when crossing an event start or end on playback. 3. Zoom lost when jumping on the timeline. 4. Can't single step through an event start or...

    Smart PSS lite computer requirements

I don’t keep up with computer specs. Try it and see. It won’t break anything It’s mostly a matter of how well your computer can handle streaming video and how much. My laptop can handle 25-30 substreams running 1024 pretty well. Maybe 2-4 main streams before stuttering SmartPSS will/should...

    Andy's NVR vs Blue Iris?

The newer and higher end NVR's now outperform BI. The benefits of BI at this point are primarily 3rd party tool integration and perhaps a few less used features.

Bomb damage isn't the story, CNN/NYT isnt the story. The leaker isn;t the story. The story is that for 4 days now, the Administration has saturated TV and Social Media with the narrative that Iran's nuclear capability was "obliterated". That the bombs we dropped (not a war just a little bomb...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I remember back in 2021 arguing here with @frankenfuck who’s no longer here, at least by his old handle, that the virus could be and likely was targeted to certain ethnic groups. He told me that wasn’t possible. Go look up deaths by country. Then tell me why Asians, that make up a very large...
