    Well I do have port open to my server so I can use the client on my phone. BUt why do I need that when the picture is sent as an attachment?

    Not sure what you mean by "unless you VPN". Are you also saying that BI app will not send alerts to me when away from home?

    I want to send an alert to my phone.I have a yahoo, gmail, and comcast email accounts. I can not send alerts directly to my phone. Ambout 4 years ago the way I got my alerts to work was to send an email to my Comcast mail. Then Comcast email forwarded it to my phone. This does not work now...

    Sorry but I need wide angle. I don't think any of these have 130 degree, I don't want PTZ because they do not generally have a wide angle. Also the foot print is too big. Thanks

    I am looking for an indoor camera with a small footprint, can be configured in a browser (not app) , has a wide angle lens (130 degree) , supports wireless, and works with Blue Iris. I used to use Amcrest p3m-hx2w but they stopped making it. Any suggestions?

    BI service returns error

    Got my desktop back from Geek squad and my BI sever is returning "The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable". I get this when running the Wizard. I can not reach it via public access. I do know that my port is open. Any ideas? My router is set up correctly with port forwarding.

    Thanks. This was my set up. It was supposed to change the PTZ at that time. I had that is place for weeks and it did not work. I finally updated to V5 and it started working.

    I updated to the latests v5 today. I disabled my BI service and shutdown BI before doing the upgrade. I started BI v5 and set it to run as a service. I can access the WEB server locally but can not access it across WAN. ANy ideas?

    I have not been able to get the PTZ override of motion zones. Any thoughts as to why?

    PTZ Preset does not override motion zones

    I configure the events to go to a Preset and different times. THen I configure each preset to override the motion zones with its own zone. But when I trigger it the main zone (Zone A) is used and not the preset zone.

    It is a problem with the foscam camera and the amcrest needed to go to a different time server.

    This does not seem to work. I record in BVR with BI time stamp. THen export to mp4 using encodings and save cameras graphic overlay and the BI timestamp is not there.
