    I'd highly recommend upgrading. The original Annke firmware has the Hikvision backdoor in it. Annke hasn't offered upgraded firmware without the vulnerability yet.

    The waves aren't really bad but I expect they're there in the original video. Those cams are known for this. Minor problem, really, and even the effects of the high NR on moving targets aren't that bad. They're really good cams for the money.

    Will do. It won't be in a closet but in a storage/computer room where my girlfriend Iris lives, so it'll only bother me if it is really bad. Iris has a great disposition and hardly ever complains or gets Blue.

    Nothing wrong with them or the 16 port version but they've got a lousy power budget for a POE+ switch. As long as you just need a port or two of POE+ and mostly lower power draw devices for the rest then they're fine.
