Dahua NV4232-EI 32CH AI NVR android app

My concern is the load on the NVR, that's where the 3rd NVR comes in. I don't want the recording NVRs to be under too much load and have bad recordings of miss events.

Dahua NV4232-EI 32CH AI NVR android app

I have 2 Dahua / Empiretech 16 channel 5 series NVRs. Both have 16 cameras recording the HD stream. The plan was to use the 32 channel Amcrest AI NVR running 32 cameras in the low resolution stream. 704x480 to do the streaming to the DMSS app. I picked the Amcrest NVR because of the cost but if...

Dahua NV4232-EI 32CH AI NVR android app

I need camera monitors at 5 locations in an office setting. My plan is to use Android TV boxes and install the DMSS app on them to stream from an Amcrest NV4232-EI My question is does anyone have experience doing this with 5 apps running at the same time? I'm just wondering if it'll be too much...

Multiple camera monitors on Dahua NVRs

I did add DMSS to one of them as a test yesterday. It does work but I'm looking for options that are tried and trusted. Probably need to look into better Android boxes.

Multiple camera monitors on Dahua NVRs

I've done that in houses before. Channel modulators mixed in at TV head end. It's just not practical in a 500 foot building. Using an app you can get individual full screen on any camera, that's one thing I need.

Multiple camera monitors on Dahua NVRs

What's the best way to setup multiple camera monitors at 5 locations for the newer Dahua NVRs? Our existing cameras are running on Zoneminder. The 6 monitors use an android TV box with either Tinycam Pro or IP cam monitor Pro. One of the Zoneminder servers strictly streams cameras to the...

    Dahua NVR8CH-8P-2AI & IPC-T54IR-ZE S3 setup

Thanks, I'm using using Edge with the IE tab while on the win11 pro PC. I didn't default the NVR because I couldn't find a quick way to do it, and I'm pressed for time it's leaving thursday morning. So I turned off all the cameras gadgets in the NVR. As for the shipping part. I re-installed...

    Dahua NVR8CH-8P-2AI & IPC-T54IR-ZE S3 setup

Yeah it's a little messy right now, maybe real messy. I've been using Chrome on Win-7 launched by SmartPSS lite from home to play with it. Looks like a few options lot of the options don't show on it. I didn't know about the port redirection that the NVR does to get to the cameras. Once on...

    Dahua NVR8CH-8P-2AI & IPC-T54IR-ZE S3 setup

I recently bought the Dahua NVR8CH-8P-2AI and 5 IPC-T54IR-ZE S3 cameras from Andy on Amazon. This system is going to California and won't have any technical people there so my plan is to set it up and send it there and have my maint' guy install it. He can run the wiring and mount the cameras...

So do you think he shot her?

It was nice coming from a very low dollar system. First time I've seen an HD over coax camera system since I've never used one. Didn't save the video

So do you think he shot her?

I don't do camera systems for a living but I have been doing them since the cameras had vidicon tubes in them. I've even repaired quite a few of them. I'm a tech consultant for a manufacturing plant now and handle all of the IT, control systems, and all of the facilities and electronics there...

So do you think he shot her?

yes, it's a crappy system no doubt. Her son installed it for her and I'm thinking he put a low dollar system in her house because she's on a limited income. She asked me to copy the videos to a flash drive for the police. I posted this because I bet most of the people with home NVRs don't...

So do you think he shot her?

OK, inside joke I guess. Is it the shootings or Zoneminder ?

So do you think he shot her?

The NVR acually caught the flashes from the guns. Lots of them. They didn't show up on the videos that were exported or downloaded.

So do you think he shot her?

I agree, one of those NVRs with a tiny circuitboard in a little enclosure, it was set at the highest frame rate and quality. Her son installed it a few years ago. Have you ever worked with an NVR that captured gunshots at night? Since then I wonder how good the exported videos are on a good...

So do you think he shot her?

Just a FYI, last year a friend of mine had 2 drive by shootings across the street from her house. When watching the play back video on the NVR you can easily see the flashes from the guns. However when I exported the videos the flashes didn't show up. This was a Night Owl NVR which I think is...

Not worth the time or trouble.

I'm no programmer but I have been using Zoneminder since 2005. I used to install DVRs & NVRs and I still prefer Zoneminder over them for myself. The versions in last few years work very well and are super easy to install. I have a Clonezilla image with Ubuntu server and defaulted Zoneminder...

Zoneminder Newest VERs easy to install and setup

Zoneminder uses percentages or pixel count for zone settings. This can screw you if you have min/max settings like 15% min 75% max and someone opens a door that lets in light that goes over 75% Zoneminder will not record that event. I've had that happen on a cpl of occasions in the past so I try...

Zoneminder Newest VERs easy to install and setup

I've been using Zoneminder since 2005. And as most people will tell you it has not been "Plug&Play" I've been updating a few of my Zoneminder systems to the latest stable VERs. It was so easy I thought I'd do a post on it. The 1.34.xx vers really surprised me with the very low CPU usage and WAY...

Not worth the time or trouble.

I've been following this thread for a cpl of years. I started using Zoneminder in 2005. I still use it for small systems for one reason. The time line view. VERY hard to beat Zoneminder's version of it. The fact that it uses a standard browser with out plugins is nice too. Another thing I...

Anyone know if Dahua NVRs need pure sign wave UPS ? Would hate to pop it, this one wasn't cheap.

IPC-HDBW5231E-ZE VERS is this a proprietary camera ?

giomania, Nice, thanks. I've been using Dahua for a long time. I picked the brand after reading just about every review from Networkcameracritic.com years ago. So I'm familiar with the ins and outs. That DOC is nice ! As far as that camera right after I told my friend to buy, I saw a mention...

IPC-HDBW5231E-ZE VERS is this a proprietary camera ?

I just bought 14 from Andy, to use with the NVR5416-4KS. right Before I saw someone mention to be careful not to get the E version. Will they work with the NVR I bought ? Edit: They did not get bought yet, my friend that was supposed to pull the trigger on them got busy. Still wondering if...

Cellular Modem for remote access to NVR

The setup I mentioned was a standard Verizon account. No Static IP. The VPN is what enables the access to the DVR.

Cellular Modem for remote access to NVR

I thought I'd throw in my recent experience one this. I needed to view a cheap DVR at a camp. Bought a used Cradlepoint MBR1200B along with a Verizon USB dongle that uses a SIM card. Put an ASUS router behind it running Tomatousb VPN 64k as a client. The VPN server is ASUS with same...
