Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

It took me a lot of trial and error and testing but I finally found this to work on the newest Web5.0 with my newer PTZ cam. This method does not work for Web4.0 "http://<ip>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoInMode[0].TimeSectionV2[0][0]=10:00:00-16:00:00 Day" I found you have...

PTZ cam with as good optics or better as IPC-T5442T-EZ.

Price has gone up almost 400$ on that monster PTZ since I bought in December. Yikes

What is this little hole on top of 5442?

I am thinking about putting one of these in a fake rock at the front door walkway. Didn't know what that little thing is and if I can cover it up or not.

    Review-EmpireTech 8MP 45x PTZ SD8C845FG-HNF

It has both white light and traditional IR. I was having trouble getting the light settings to stick, but after a few tries they are working correctly. I will say that even with white light set to near minimum, it acts like a spot light at night. I had to turn white light down all the way...

    Blue Iris Log: Signal: restored

All devices are AirMax, so channel width is set to 20/40 MHz. Looks like they are communicated at 40 Mhz width which is giving me a pretty good max throughput ceiling of around 300-350 Mbps, well above what I need. Still no drop outs after another few hours. Maybe I don't need any further...

    Blue Iris Log: Signal: restored

Have two Nanos transmitting about 160 Mbps of total data going to one LiteAP and they are both short distance one at 142 ft and other at 86 ft. I initially (first time with these) had power turned up way too high with signal coming in at -15 to -20 dBm. That was overpowering the LiteAP and...

    5442 Turrets in black

I have a bunch of black turrets already installed and I was thinking it would be nice to pray paint them to match the house wall color. Was thinking I might be able to mask the wall and the lens and IR and spray paint them in place. Taking them down to paint them would be the other option...

    Blue Iris Log: Signal: restored

I've recently put many of my outdoor cameras on a Nanostation-5AC --- LiteAP-GPS wireless link and I've been trying to troubleshoot drop outs. The dropouts are not just on Blue Iris but are affecting all of the remotely connected devices. Anyway, I am able to see in the log when the cameras...

    Review-EmpireTech 8MP 45x PTZ SD8C845FG-HNF

Here it is on front of house. It’s a bit too obvious for my taste. Wanted to paint it brown but that voids the warranty. Not sure what those lookie-loos were pointing at.

I've had this camera for a while now and its my favorite. One thing I could never get working was the IR/white light setttings. They don't seem to stick for me.

Buried Cat5 to front of driveway

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I'd be safe to run two cables along the pipe. Maybe do a few inches of dirt between the pipe and cable do avoid vibrations. I do plan on putting a small switch down at the front driveway for "expansion" = More cameras.

Buried Cat5 to front of driveway

Yeah I'm having to repave my concrete driveway. They want 9$/sft for high PSI concrete with rebar. They cheaped out on the first concrete and its falling apart (was done before I owned the house) Look at that pic and now imagine how much its going to cost me.

Buried Cat5 to front of driveway

We are doing a landscaping project and the plan calls for a sprinkler zone down to the front of the house where I want to place LPR camera. Distance is about 180 ft -- see pic. Was thinking it would be nice to run cat5 in the trench where they are putting the sprinkler pipe which would make...

    Weathercam FTP image resolution

So moving the time stamp over didnt work. I am fairly certain this is a resolution issue. It is the same thing that happens in UI3 when you enlarge an image to fullscreen. For a sec the image is low res and the time stamp is large... then the high res image kicks in and the time stamp gets...

    Weathercam FTP image resolution

Not sure exactly where to post this, because I'm not sure where the problem lies. I have a 4K color cam as a weather cam that is pushing images to Ambient Weather by FTP. Ambient creates an mpg from the images which is kind of cool. There is a problem with the FTP images where the image...
