Notifications are irrelevent. That's just what you set it to tell you. If you set it to trigger recording on motion, it will trigger recording on motion. If you're recording to an SD card which has limited memory, then it will over write anything already there. So that burglar it records when... -

Warning you will get a lot of false alerts using both motion and tripwires so expect to spend a lot of time watching trees, insects, snowflakes etc. Most of us here use Tripwires + AI to cut the false alerts even further. -

Ah Ok. Though that was their picture but it's early. If it's working how you need it to then that's fine. My experience of trips is they're the best but placement can be crucial as you're trying to draw a 2d line in a 3d scene and objects can pass behind if you're not careful. -

Did you buy it cheap from an overseas site? Sounds like you got a foreign language version that's has custom adapted English firmware forced onto it. It's probably been upgrade locked because if you try to upgrade the firmware it will brick the camera. -

Camera thinks telephone pole is human
One solution without retraining the AI would be to simply use a privacy mask and mask the pole. It's a pole so a black rectangle is no different. You might even be able to get away with masking within the pole depending on low large it is in the picture, so a little bit of pole can be seen each... -

Looking for low-light camera recommendation to use as navigation aid on a boat
My only observations as feedback for Boateye, is maybe it would benefit from software image stabilisation to remove / minimise the boat sway & maybe progressive video instead of interlaced to reduce the issues with the railings producing a jagged, moire effect (I'm presuming it's interlacing...- CCTVCam
