@EMPIRETECANDY are there any plans to offer this camera in a 4mp flavour?

I'm tempted to get one of these to mount in between my two 5442 varifocals. I have the varifocals criss crossing the driveway and wonder if putting this in between both to get a shot in between the vehicles would work. I'd keep the LEDs on all night which will further help the two other 5442s.

Did you try hitting the "refresh" button after you adjusted?

Installed this, started the service but when I click the "get current zoom/focus" the dialogue box doesn't come up. Has anyone else had this issue?

For those of you in Canada, I'm in Alberta and had Andy ship one direct to me. I just emailed him and he sent me an invoice then shipped the camera to me. It took a few days to arrive.

How much smaller is the fixed lense version compared to this? I just received my camera today but I don't have a fixed version to compare to. Is the footprint of the fixed smaller?

The clarity at full zoom is pretty impressive. I know these cost more than their fixed lense sisters but I'd still consider using all varifocal for my install just for the flexibility.

I'm expecting mine to show up mid week next week but by then I'm sure we will have a few comprehensive reviews.....full of settings I can use to get mine dialed in lol

I'm an advocate of Unifi for networking purposes. Outside of that, their cameras and security suite is overpriced junk. Stay far away from any of it. I'm not surprised some of it is going eol and won't be surpsied when they stop doing security stuff altogether.

He asked for an 8mp turret without listing any other requirements so I listed one. I agree it won't work nearly as well in low light conditions but not everyone is using them for low light conditions or they have ample supplemental light for the camera to use.

Roughly the same size sensor, the one I listed is 1/2.7". The camera I listed is 5MP. The area will be well lit, so assuming the sensor is the same would the picture on the 5MP not have more detail?

I find running pass through connectors help make sure you have a tight twist right up to the crimp. I appreciate pass through may not be suitable for a commercial installation or for shielded cable but for my use they've been great.
