I must agree that this is a game changer for me as I build out my camera setup and not have to think about doing any upgrades to my Blue Iris hardware for a long time to come.

If you are trying to connect to the UI3 in your LAN from that IP address is needs to be Local Access section. I think you mis-typed your external IP into that section by mistake.

I would to second the use of Sub-streams if you are amenable to the lower quality when viewing all your cams at once. This I have recently incorporated into my system and even if a few cameras it has made a noticeable difference in my overall CPU usage.

You might also want to get current focus when you have the setting right and enter in there I do that and change it right on the sunrise and sunset and have not had any issues so far but I set a specific focus between night and day.

Yup but my car doesn't have a front license plate and my cars lights are LED which don't blast my camera like this car does in the picture I posted earlier. I could go and park it to tune the back of cars but that is less of a problem than the front.

Last night the shutter was at 1/2000 but before that it was at 1/1000.

They are headlights in this picture but usually this position gets tail lights this one car just drives on the opposite side of the road every morning.

With the settings you recommended I am getting a harder to read plate from the same car am probably going to go back to my previous settings and leave it be for now unless someone has some other recommendation.

I noticed they rebranded this category of camera to the Wiz Mind from the Pro IA Series not sure if Dahua is moving away from the Pro series to this group of cameras moving forward and decided to update their specs on the lux.
