I am finding it hard to figure out which Ezviz doorbells can be connected to wires. And Amazon and Ebay has a pitiful selection to choose from. May have to go with another brand. I could go with Simplisafe to tie in with my alarm.

Can the DB2 be wired to my existing transformer like the DB1? Manual shows it can.

Well shoot. I beat on it but no luck. I just had this same problem with a CCTV camera and hitting it worked. Guess I will be tearing into it to see if I can fix it. If not I will try to find a replacement here in the US.

I ordered a new WD 4TB purple. But in the meantime, I found a 1TB drive that is older than 8 years and is working fine for now.

Yes. The setup went smooth. I was confused about the tones you can pick from. It has a tone for the motion detect and the doorbell button press. You cannot change the tone for the motion detect. Or you can opt to not have it.

So it does work with my DB1, however the volume is so weak on these things you will need to have it in the room with your tv to hear it. Maybe even next to your favorite chair. Now I may need to buy another one for other end of house.

Their website says it will work with the DB1 and DB1C. EZVIZ Smart Chime - Video Doorbell Companion Anyone verify it will work with my DB1? I am on my 3rd mechanical, and I am done with them.

So it shows that you can use the existing doorbell wires, but is this to only work the existing chime and not charge the DB2?

Same here. I am fed up with problems with my mechanical chime working with the DB1. And I dont see a single dealer anywhere for their smart chime CS-CMT-CHIME

Sure did. I saw earlier the option to delete cloud account but was not sure if I should. Thing is I dont use the cloud.

For the love of pete. That did it. Go to bottom of settings and pick Delete Device, then I picked Cancel Subscription but kept the video clips.

Ok, so I thought I would try this. Uninstalled the app. Reinstall, but it just goes back to my registered email which means I cannot get back to a new install where it asks for what type of chime I have.

I figured since the DB1 is working great except for ringing the chime I figured the power kit is suspect. Will contact them now.

Did a reset. Didn't help. My transformer is one that has 3 voltage options. I have it set for 18V now. Can go to 24V if you think that will help.

Yep I did get a new firmware update Monday while I was was trying to get it working. Not sure if I did the reset after.. Gonna go try that. Man I hate removing those tiny screws over my porch floor with decking. Have to throw down a towel or shirt. :)
