Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

Yes, this happened to me as well. Annke has released an updated firmware that's not quite as new, but I prefer to run that with the proper resolution and aspect ratio over the latest from HikVision with the issue you mentioned.

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

I said the I51DM (E7S platform) still requires it, but this thread discusses all Annke cameras, which fall under other HikVision platforms like G5 for example for the I91BM. You made a comment that "all of them" still require the plugin so I was just clarifying that "not all of them" still...

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

That may be true of all of the E7S variants, but that's not the case for the G5 (I91BM AKA Annke C800) that I have. That was the very reason that I upgraded to HikVision firmware in the first place. When the units arrive with Annke firmware V5.5.102 build 200925 the plugin was required. One of...

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

Neat! I just installed it on an I51DM but it still requires the plugin to view the live view in the browser after updating. Are others having that same experience? or should I try factory resetting the camera?

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

I would assume that's the E7S like the I51DM but if you can have a look at the Configuration > System > System Settings page there'll be a "Firmware Version Property" field that'll say for sure. For example, the I51DM says B-R-E7S-0 and the latest version of E7S isn't much of an improvement over...

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

I have an unmolested I51DM still in the box. If there's a way to pull the stock firmware off the device (without opening the device) I can do that before flashing to HikVision.

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

I just noticed that 5.5.800 just appeared for the G5 (some C800) platform. I hope to try it out soon, but looking at the release notes, it doesn't sound too exciting.

Out of curiosity, how did you know to use that one?

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

Oh, yeah you're right... Not sure how that got like that. Since the original post, I've re-installed BI on a newer computer because I'm also having issues with choppy playback of recordings. On the new installation High Definition is off and I don't remember changing it in either case. Currently...

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

High Definition was already off (must be the default 'cause I didn't change it and I don't even really know what it does) The other two settings you mentioned would help with false positives, I'm having a false negative.... Well... sorta Like I said, everything I can find shows that the camera...

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

I tried the simple profile instead of the edge vector and things work exactly the same as I mentioned in the original post. The camera feed gets the orange box around it as if it has been triggered, the van gets the yellow box around it as if it has been identified as the moving object but about...

    Choppy/Stuttering video recording and playback

Thanks but I had already been through that, and like I said if I export the video from BI and play it with like VLC for example, it plays back smooth. (Originally I didn't think the export was smooth but someone else on the forum downloaded the video and it played smooth for them, so I tried it...

    Choppy/Stuttering video recording and playback

Okay I've gone from the aforementioned 9 year old CPU, to a 5 year old CPU, to now I'm on a 9th generation i5 and the stuttering is exactly the same in all three cases. As mentioned above the exported clips are nice and smooth, its just when playing back clips that were recorded to the hard...

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

Are you using direct to disc recording? Yes Camera fps and iframe match (i.e. 15 fps and iframe interval 15) Yes Have you tried using the 'simple' vs 'edge vector' algorythm? No, but I will try it .db and New folders on the same drive? No, DB is on SSD, and New is on Surveillance Grade HDD...

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

DeepStack isn't in use at all, I just know a lot of people use it, and that's one of the main reasons that a "trigger" wouldn't turn into an "alert" ... if DeepStack cancelled it. But in my case, no DeepStack in play here at all, I'm just baffled as to why the camera seems to have been...

    Missing motion triggers sometimes

I've been struggling with motion detection for months, so I don't think its tied to a particular release, its just me not getting the settings right. I have a camera pointed at my driveway, sometimes it will trigger on us leaving, sometimes not, sometimes it will trigger on us coming home...

Blue Iris live view and playback stuttering every second

Did you ever figure anything out about this? I seem to have the same experience. I have another thread going about it but it kinda hit a dead end when they said my hardware was too old. I just reinstalled BI on a much newer much faster system and the experience is exactly the same... Viewing...

    Choppy/Stuttering video recording and playback

Thanks for checking it out. I was watching the clip on an 8th gen i7 and it still showed choppy. I just tried a third computer and I do see that the video is smooth. So that makes be on-par with the other thread I mentioned in the initial post. Choppy in interface, but smooth in exports. I...

    Choppy/Stuttering video recording and playback

Greetings, I'm having an issue where videos recorded do not play back smoothly, there'll be a very brief pause every 1/2 to 1.0 second. I found another article https:/ipcamtalk.com/threads/blueiris-video-playback-stuttering.50036/ that sounds very similar, but he says when exports the clips they...

Annke Firmware to Hikvision Firmware: HOW TO

You made my week! I had success doing some of the C800s already, following other's instructions, but it hadn't yet clicked that the Firmware Version Property includes the "platform" to be looking for on the HikVision site... Following your instructions I was able to get my C500 Turret w/Audio...

I had the same problem but it's just a browser cache issue. Try opening the UI in incognito to verify.

    Annke I51DF

From what I understand folks with the I51DF have been able to update it with just the normal web based upload procedure. I have an I51DM (not sure what the difference is) and its not working over the web, and TFTP reports "flag*23a04_1" which I think means that the firmware being uploaded...

New Annke C800 turret with audio?

I have not, and I have not convinced the Annke folks to come up with a newer firmware either. The need for a browser plug-in irritates me.

Amcrest or Annke?, I finally found my camera

Thank you for the replies. I didn't mean to go down a rabbit hole here, totally off topic from what the original poster's subject was, but here we go. A) I know how to secure my network and keep cameras from reaching the internet, but sometimes as an installer I have to work within the confines...

Amcrest or Annke?, I finally found my camera

I have one more point to add about Amcrest 5MP versus Annke. For me, upgrading the Amcrest 5MP to Dahua firmware was painless. I see others have mentioned getting the Annke C500 to HikVision firmware, but so far I've not had any luck. I know many people ask why one would want to replace the...

My thoughts on, and review of the Amcrest IP5M T1179EW 28MM

@jihiggs here's a screenshot, let me know if that answers your question. This is not the same as their smart home stuff, which isn't great in my opinion.

Oh you're right, I do see that setting in there, I must have not been looking in the right place earlier.
