Does "restore" reset all parameters except IP, and user information default settings, disconnect cameras that are currently installed? Does it delete old recordings, and/or system logs - i.e give you a clean system - but still connected to your network and have the same users/passwords as before?

I have a Hikvision NVR, connecte to the internet (that I can access from the WAN). The cameras are plugged into the NVR. How can I access the cameras directly (without having to plug in a laptop into the NVR ports). Can I set the NVR to pass access to a camera (port forwarding)?

NVR. I can create and download the XML, but wasnt sure what to do with it. I through I saw an email template somewhere, but the hikvision site seems only to give a support email address. I need to do it on the morning through, so I can get the file back and import it same day.
