What is the correct way to set alarms (event or smart).
I can set motion detection etc from the NVR - or I can log in to the camera configuration and set alarms in there. Where should events be setup - camera or NVR page?
Notify surveillance center. If this is set on a Camera - does this mean it shows the"event" on the NVR?. What effect does it have if set on the NVR only? Is this needed when using HIKConnect to view remotely (using ddns rather than Hikconnect platform)
Audible alarm, and Flashing light on the camera can only be selected if I log onto the camera config page - not the NVR.
Trigger Alarm Output - I assume this is some sort of external relay?
Trigger Recording - Is this needed when recording is 24/7
If continous recording is set, then events will not show in the Hikconnect app. Is it possible to shown them on the NVR timeline itself? i.e to quickly see when there was movement.
