    Wyze removed the RTSP firmware and I don't think it works with the v3 cameras, which is what I have. I have enough issues with Wyze cameras, and just would like to eliminate wyze if I can! bert

    I never noticed that option before - I'm guessing it's a new option as I didn't have any issues with the September, 2022 version I was running, but upgrading to a newer version must have automatically enabled that with no cameras selected. Thanks! bert

    With version 5.6.1.3 installed, the UI3 "about" menu indicates the same version. When I update to the latest stable version (5.6.6.1), I can't check the UI3 version in the browser, but in the "C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 5\www\ui3" folder, the 2 latest files are ui3.js and ui3.css, dated 11/29/22...

    I'm running v 5.6.1.3 of BI from Sept, 2022. If I upgrade to any newer version, I can no longer access my cameras from the web server. I've tried several versions. THe error message is attached.

    Thanks! I hadn't seen that option - I set it to a 5-second update and it resolved the issue. I usually only remote-in to change BI settings on a camera, and don't need to see up-to-date video.

    Whether or not using substreams will reduce CPU usage is arbitrary - the issue remains that CPU usage increases dramatically ONLY when RDP is used. CPU usage is acceptable without RDP (~30%). There is some kind of issue with the BI app and RDP. I've seen this on 2 different computers now. As...

    I've done everything in the Wiki except the "substreams" - frankly, I didn't understand what needed to be done - and I can easily live with 11% CPU usage. But having said that, it doesn't explain why the BI application (not the BI service) is causing an issue ONLY when RD is thrown into the mix.

    After WEEKS of dealing with an incompetent support person, I did finally get a resolution. In the BI app, open settings and select Users and then select the user you log in with in UI3.htm. Click EDIT and then check the "Profile/schedule changes" box.

    July 3rd update issue

    After the July 3, 2020 update, the website (ui3.htm) could no longer play alert videos. I down-graded to the previous version (from May, 2020 - 5.2.7.12), and all is well again.

    Thanks for that link - with the info in that article, and the help here on the forum, I was able to get CPU utilization down to about 50%. The Video Decode graph is active, so I guess it is working.

    Originally, I set hardware acceleration on in the "settings" - not on each camera. I have now set it on for each camera, but still not seeing any difference. The computer BI is installed on does has video on the motherboard.

    I did change the frame rates - most cameras had a Max frame rate of 33fps - I changed them all to 15 fps or lower. That brought the CPU utilization way down. It's running around 50% now - I never saw that low of a CPU utilization since I started using BI 3 or 4 years ago! Thanks to all.

    I am not using "direct to disk". Hardware acceleration was off - I turned it on (Intel) and rebooted. Not much difference though - still mostly at 100% CPU utilization.
