Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

I checked that at the last minute to see if that work have a positive affect. Apparently not. I'll uncheck it. I do plan to record continuously, that's next on my list as well as adding another camera. Seeing 10 or 20 seconds prior to a trigger works on camera recording, and works if BI is...

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

It appears that i have things working pretty well. I have one last remaining issue/question (i guess for now). When a tripwire is triggered i will get a recording locally on the sd card, and as well an onvif trigger to blue iris. When i view the clip locally/camera/sd card it will show a few...

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

sorry, i was just showing the "controls" not my settings. The second screen is not mine, it's one i got from online as a way to highlight the 2 different screens that configure IVS. I guess what i was trying to ask was what the controls mean and why they differ so much when looking for...

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

sigh ... seems like any time i "touch" this is seems to stop working. The real difficult thing for me is to find any documentation with instructions or a picture that matches what i'm seeing. But then i can't find a consistent set of instructions on line, as each description is slightly...

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

Guess it must be close to Halloween. I placed a card in the camera, formatted it, rebooted a few times. Recreated the trip wire... Now ... yay!! recordings/events are showing up in BI. But i see no logs and no events and no recordings when looking into the camera IP Control Panel .. go figure...

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

I do not have an SD card, but I'll stick one in. So if it doesn't write locally, it's not the communication. Ok, I'll make sure it works locally before worrying about bi communication. thanks for the direction

Enable IVS Trigger for Blue Iris - not working

I have found a couple of other threads with the same issue, but did not really see a final "aha" this is the key issue. And some of the threads sort of wandered off into other areas. So, i've been trying to get this to work for a couple of days, with no luck. Short description: Using Dahua...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

I've received the 5442 varifocal. Playing with it inside before getting on a ladder. Up and running easily, working with BI. Trying to get the feel of the Camera's ui/settings. I can't seem to find anything with enough detail. so 1) Can somebody point me to some detailed documentation on...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

the cable is snaked through one of the holes after removing a plug, leaving the hole open? Then open up a hole in the soffit beneath the box and jam everything to into the hole in soffit? hmmm, I suppose I could also add some silicone or whatever where the cable enters the bike in the box...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

So, I pulled the trigger quickly, then had a couple of questions that stalled it and tried to cancel for now. Installation questions 1) The term turret was used and then I read that it needed manual adjustment in conjunction with the other camera to get the combined horizontal view just right...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

I agree. I'm already set up with BI and have used some of that functionality. But, by doing so do I give up the advanced AI that the turret provides and what I'm paying for... Is really my question.

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

thanks for the distinction. the first is smaller! So BI becomes superfluous..., except to record much more than the SD card can hold. I'd like to keep 30 days of recording if possible, no less than 2 weeks. I have a couple other small cameras, one inside.. it's nice to use one app to view...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

My head is kind of spinning with all of this good info. I'm looking for something moderate. Perhaps a couple of 5442 ZE cameras. I still need to figure out how or where relative to each other to mount them to get the best horizontal FOV of 180 degrees. Also, whether mounting under the...

Advice on Camera Choice - 2 Cameras, 180 degree FOV

I am totally new to all this. Below is my scenario. I have a single long exterior wall facing a parking lot. I currently have a PTZ camera which covers the lot, but really doesn't do the job as i don't get 24/7 coverage of the full area. So, i wish to provide 2 fixed cameras to cover the...
