Night Licence plates
Hi All, I have a Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR. At night, it has a strong IR light and lights the scene well. What I've discovered of course is that since licence plates are highly reflective, they are overexposed and unreadable. Default Exposure Compensation is set at 50. (Scale 0-100). This works... -

Hikvision PTZ smart tracking and presets
Hi Folks, I bought a Dahua PTZ and it can't do what I need below. I need a PTZ that can tour between 2 presets. Then, if it detects vehicle/person in a preset view, it then zooms into the object (up to 80meters away) and tracks it. Is this possible with Hikvision PTZ? Thanks all. -

Quick Question on 5442 1/1.8" options
Hey all, I've heard 5442 with 1/1.8" is the way to go in general. I'm looking at 6.0mm. I need Smart Intelligence for Vehicle and Person detection. Preferably in bullet or turret. Can anyone recommend dahua models? Thanks, Tristan -

Sorry, not 100% clear on this. In my current nxwitness setup with hikvision cameras, something as simple as a tree moving will create a motion event in the timeline. Very annoying. Reviewing dahua SMD 3.0 material Smart Motion Detection It says cameras with SMD can detect vehicles and humans... -
