ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

Hooked up to my LAN with a fixed IP number. I use SecuirtySpy (MAC) which has an option to use a remote view option via an APP. If it had been hacked I am also running two other Hikvision cameras with vulnerable firmware so they would likely be hacked as well. I will see if it happens again.

ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

I have this camera setup indoors and have used a Smartplug to turn it off and on automatically when I leave the house. However today when I tried that it woould not log in and had reset so I had to enter an new username and password ? Does turning power on and off reset the camera back to...

ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

I notice the LED display is also different on this and my Hikvision Cube. Ther "Alarm" and "Status" both light blue on the Hikvision when powered up and working with the "Link" flashing on and off orange. On the Annke the Alam is blue, Status is not lit and link flashes orange ?

Seems a good value indoor domestic camera

Are you based in the UK or did you get it for $41.65/£31 in the USA ?

Seems a good value indoor domestic camera

Well its not as good as my 4MP Hikvision Cube but for less than half the price its fine for my indoor/budgie watching :p

Did you see my edit ? "PS Re hacking wouldn't you have to be on the same subnet to enter that command ?"

Seems a good value indoor domestic camera

I know I posted these pics in another post but just to complete this post. Two shots day and night. I think if you can buy this camera in the USA for £31 its a steal! Even in the UK at £55 its still great value.

Its says... V5.3.5 build 161112 My stock Hikvision Cube is V5.4.1 build 160525 So clearly the clone is an older version. Not really fussed about vulnerability. As others have posted any IP camera can be hacked with the will and determination. PS Re hacking wouldn't you have to be on the same...

Turned up and I pretty impressed for £55. This is literally plug and play no changing IP numbers from some strange domain. DHCP is switched on by default and it takes an IP number quickly. I tend to fix all the IP numbers on my router anyway. A few pics. Nice packaging, felt like a new phone...

Tips picking one of these 8 camera's (Hikvision, D-Link, Axis, Vivotke)

As per above this is not a bad camera for the money. Its a rebranded Hikvision. Mine has arrived and its pretty good inside and a bargain at the cost. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N80AIK2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I will upload a night shot later.

Tips picking one of these 8 camera's (Hikvision, D-Link, Axis, Vivotke)

Fender that bullet I purchased actually works fine without the infra red switched on (i.e. in day time only set constant) as the street lamps light up the rear enough. Hopefully that will mean no spiders :) Will post some pics later in that thread.

Tips picking one of these 8 camera's (Hikvision, D-Link, Axis, Vivotke)

I just got one of these which is a rebranded Hikvision and "4MP". GREAT small bullet (60-70mm diam across) and would be as good indoors or outdoors. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072KMVK43/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Even better value is one of these (again rebranded...

Direct from Annke though Amazon still seems the cheapest for the UK so I have ordered one to try :) I already have the Hikvision branded 4MP version, so will be interesting to compare.

I wish I could put the Annke Cube camera here, in the upper red circle. See my thread here Although its sheltered I guess it would not last long in outside conditions ? Maybe for £55 its worth trying. With a mic and speaker built in would be perfect sigh.....

Thanks yes I meant ANNKE don't produce a 3MP one. I already have a 3MP Hikvision Cube and paid at least twice as much as the ANNKE 2MP one. May get one to try.

If you control your cameras from other software i.e. in my case SecuritySpy on a Mac, does the same volunerability exists ? I do provide internet access to the SecuritySpy server running on my Mac so I can see camera images, but not direct access to any of my cameras ? Also I have only found a...

Quite pleased with the results. I need to blank/mask out next doors car/drive as I dont think its right to over look other peoples property without their consent and dont want them to trigger the cam either.

Expand my system with two more cameras

The bullet camera turned up and I have to say it seems well made. Took me a while to figure out how to change the subnet and IP number (I can never see these on my subnet when using a browser unless I use the SADP tool) but got it working in the end. It's really a compact unit and would fit...

Expand my system with two more cameras

Just measured it and its not wide enough. The plastic above is a gutter so I can't drill into that and its not wide enough (min 110mm diam for the camera) anyway so looks like it will need to be mounted on the other horizontal wall.

Expand my system with two more cameras

Looking at the first picture above it seems that if I go for for the Hikvision turret it would need to go on the wall marked with the lower red circle as the other facing brickwork is not wide enough for the mount. I guess the 110 diam turret might just fit mounted flush (verticle) on the facing...

Ok read some of the threads and had a search in the UK. The starlight cameras dont seem to be readily available.
