If it's successfully sending that means it's going somewhere.
But it could be getting dropped at any number of steps along the way.
Check the most obvious first which would be spam folder or any rules you might have setup.
What exactly are you expecting to see occur?
What does "recognised by router" mean in your mind?
Because a switch will not be recognised by a router unless it has been configured in a certain way and while I'm pretty sure your switch is a managed switch you don't seem to have configured it so it...
That's what I do.
Not because I don't have enough ports on my switch but because some of my cameras can't send alerts if they're connected directly to the NVR so I plug them into the switch and send the alerts directly from the cameras.

It's worth considering that lights will attract insects.
Being able to have lights set up away from the camera will still attract insects but they won't be buzzing around your camera.

We used to live in a house with poor radio reception so we ran a cable from the antenna on the radio straight into the earth on the wall socket.
It improved reception.
Maybe this person is trying to improve their internet signal.

It doesn't look like it would be a particularly easy task to move those patch panels into that rack.
The cables run behind the wood panelling.
They may be permanently trapped where they are.

Uniview tend to be expensive in Australia.
Especially the 4mp ones with the correct mp sensor ratio (which are also not easy to find).
Their uniarch brand are cheaper but I don't think any of them have the right mp sensor ratio.

None of those things are their standards.

Eg mounting holes on every ATX motherboard are in the same position regardless of manufacturer and model.
You can't even get the same mounting holes on a security camera from the same manufacturer.
