understand, Annke is an OEM assembler of hikvision, inside everything is like hk. only the logo on the camera and in the web interface. reread the whole topic and you will not ask unnecessary questions.
I am well aware of that based on reading the whole thread. I was trying to imply that Since Upgrading firmware voids 2year warranty from annke, It would be much better to keep the original firmware from annke for the duration of the 2 year warranty since that annke is Hikvision inside. I was simply asking about the plug-in-play question as I have had hikvision cams not work in Plug n Play mode on my annke NVR.
Comrade, out of two thousand installed cameras, not one has failed within 3 years from annke, no need to worry about the warranty. I will tell you for the last time that hikvision cameras and annke are the same, and work the same, and connect to the Plug n Play recorder if you do everything correctly. You mention this warranty in every message, if you are afraid, then do not flash anything and forget about this thread.
Successfully flashed Annke C500 (I51DS) with Hik DS-2CD1043G2 Firmware_V5.8.10_241205 (E10). New web interface, all functions prefect. As sensor is 4Mp camera does not suppport higher resolution after flash.
If the C800 is a bargain, then this camera is a steal for 33USD currently on Annke main page. Highly recommended against any xiongmai stuff for the same price, beats them night and day!

How did you manage that?
I tried asking annke support if there were any updates firmwares available and they assured me that my camera was perfectly fine and I didn't need a firmware update.
The usual suspects:
~1.5 years of bugfixes, security patches and improvements (Annke factory fw was 2304something)
Onvif with token authentication
new web interface which is very resonsive and fast
I understand that no new functionality has appeared, and will not appear. All these security patches are not so important for the user. The camera interface too, you use it once and that's it.
but the fact that (I51DS) has a new 3k format (wide screen) and after re-grafting the resolution will no longer be widescreen.
there is one rule, if everything works, don’t touch it and new functionality won’t appear in the new firmware. the chance of damaging the camera during the update is high, and you can get a brick
Sorry but onvif auth us really important for me. I don’t care about fake widescreen I rather chose native picture quality and correspondig better motion detection. Apart from that I own the device so I do whatever I want to do with it. It’s a possibility to have an up to date device, and I show this possibility for whoever thinks the same.
buy a hikvision camera and don't suffer
if onvif with authorization and other things are so important. you won't make a hikvision camera out of an annke camera, even if you install firmware there. the camera will be defined by hikvision as unrelated to it and will be limited in remote configuration.annke

What firmware and which device are you showing? I'm running V5.7.1 build 220316 on a I91BL. H265(+) is the only option available for me.

Ďakujem za odpoveď. Kúpil som si NVR+4 kamery. Pozri fotografiu. Bol by som spokojný s MP6/20fps namiesto MP8/12fps. Len neviem, ktorý firmvér HK nainštalovať.

the camera is good, you don't know how to set it up, don't expect miracles from a budget camera, it's good for the money. in the camera settings, make it 6 MP and you will have 20 frames, you don't need firmware for this.
