It might be a resource hog but it sure does work well! I really cant see any differences in pic quality with those 2 changes.

Ok after changing live view to 15fps dropped me down to 45%ish CPU. Then dropping recorded FPS to 15 got me down to 35%ish CPU. Thanks for all the help!!!!

Yes I am displaying the cameras live. I will try lowering the frame rate. No I am not using a remote viewing app at least not yet. Thanks for the help.

I have a HP EliteDesk G1 800 Desktop PC mini - Intel i5-4570s with 12 meg ram, 120 gig HD solid state & 1 TB storage. I have 5 total 20 MP worth of cameras 20-30 FPS on Blue Iris running around 50% to 60% CPU usage is this normal? Or do I need to do more adjustments?

I got the hikvison cameras to stop ghosting by changing bit rate to 4096. (Thanks Fenderman) Now I just have to get the longse so they don't ghost.

Yes all 4 cameras are the same way. Even when I go back to factory defaults. If I am not recording motion is smooth.
