That's the best part ..... new toys! I've ordered quite a few cams from Andy the past 2 months and what a learning experience! Some surprises too which prompted me to evaluate which cameras should go where.

OH Wow .... good point. Not that my wife would ever allow 50 cameras ..... but I'm on it with what I have.

I just bought a 3rd camera from Andy based on the excellent suggestions and help from wittaj , sebastioncombs and too many others to count. But now, a new camera. I used the same shutter and gain suggestions for a starting point when I set up my last camera, a 3241 which worked out great. Now...

Thanks to all the help here I've come to some conclusions on setting up the IPC-T3241T-ZAS to be installed at church. I've tested at night for the last 2 days and it seems color will give the best facial detail at night at a close range. Bear in mind that I'm just looking at subjects who will...

Good point wittai .... I'll go out right now and walk by it's temp mounting and see if I get any artifacts. I worked on my Day/Night and Shutter/Gain settings this morning when it was still pitch black out where I could then walk outside in front of the camera and then back in to check any...

Hooray ... You had to put a ring in my nose to get me there but I made a couple of adjustments and saw a big change. Went out and walked and saw that my face was washed out (gain was 65) but now I am seeing how to make the adjustments. I can see now that I'll need to do some more night...

I must be blind or in the wrong program. I don't see "shutter" listed anywhere. I open IE and then log in and I've clicked on everything there ... or maybe it's past my bedtime .... 1st, am I looking in the right area?

I will do that ... as I've already had one network cable corrode even tho it had the included moisture hardware covering the connection. And this was under the eaves too and completely protected. Thanks for reminding me ...

It's just temp and I'll probably remount it tomorrow evening at church under a covered walkway. I wanted to get a little familiar with it before I take it to it's new home and not have anybody ask me if I knew what I was doing. :^)))).

Ok .... dumb question. I understand 1/3", the 1/2" etc ... but how does the decimal point fit in? Like 1/2.8" .... what does the .8 refer to? I've Googled it but they show little pictures and some with rectangles with the horizontal being larger than the vertical but still ....? The 1/3 =...

Thanks ... after reading that review and watching the videos I ordered that one. I was a little hesitant about 2 MP but I think this will be the correct camera. Most targets will be coming up the sidewalk and through the office door in broad daylight and those are my primary targets. Night...

Thanks wittaj. Here is a screenshot I just took showing the "approx" amount of light available at night. I'm still learning but I will check to see if Andy has that particular camera and then compare all three.
