Did you try TFTP as mentioned in this thread? It is really easy as described in my Jan 20 post. If you read through the early parts of this thread you will see where to get the TFTP program.

I downloaded the latest firmware onto USB from home and applied it that way. I am curious to see if it would have worked if I applied them in sequential order. Not going to find out ;)

I've noticed that with the Hiks I have connected to a dahua NVR using SmartPss for playback. Funny thing is when I went to play back the same footage on an older version of PSS there were no gaps. There were also no gaps when using playback via browser interface.

I spray a little Ortho insect killer around the camera area. Helps for a month or so, just be careful not to spray the lens cover. You can also spray on a rag and rub area. There is also Terro spider spray...good stuff.

Did you try a different HTTP port on each device and open those ports on the router?

Anyone know if there is a way to use digital zoom while in Playback on Hikvision's DS-7104NI-SL/W NVR? The customer is only using the NVR's playback over the LAN to see footage. I was avoiding installing 4200 only because the user is a bit technically challenged.

Can CMS be used in conjunction with a PSS on an analog system? I thinking of a poor man's hybrid where I hook up the ION to the same switch as the 4 Ch analog Eyesurv and view both systems on PSS over the network. If not can I do this with the other Eyesurv's NVRs?

This has been a little more grainier at night since I adjusted Iris levels. During the day it would periodically show a quick burst of white across the entire image, then reset to the original image. Played around with settings until the white bursts stopped but the image suffers at night.
