    It simply does not support samba/CIFS despite an smb option. This is not implemented at all and all it does is sending an ICMP echo request to your configured SMB server.

    What I observed was tftp will get stuck at soon as the camera sends an ARP request . So I ran a ping in the background and after a few tries I was able to get tftp to complete with Hikvision tftp server.

    On DS-2CD3345-I after I issue upgrade, tftp always gets stuck at 10000/20000 chunks (getting an ARP request when it is stuck)

    any camera supporting RTSP 2.0 yet? RFC 7826 - Real-Time Streaming Protocol Version 2.0 I can't seem to find any camera with it. Does RTSP 2.0 have a real chance of getting adopted? IP cameras seem to have an awful old stack unsuitable for modern days (NTLMv1, TLS 1.0)

    Worked like a charm on IPC-HDW5831R-ZE. HTML5 video is working without plugin The only missing part for Dahua firmware is separate storage destinations for record and snapshot (like Hikvision)

    How did you get G0 to use tftp? I used hikvision tftp server and set the static IP, but when I reboot the camera it doesn't try tftp at all. It just gets address from DHCP and continues on booting

    I just realized DS-2CD2455FWD-IW (G1 2XX5 2XX3(non-Fisheye) MultiLanguage platform) on V5.5.80 build 180911 does not require a plugin in Chrome Linux. This is really awesome.

    Thanks. Yes the cam is in standalone mode. I got it to boot without SD card and then formatted SD card using the camera. So far it looks ok. My concern is if SD overwrite is broken, the camera is going to need some manual intervention every so often.
