Oldest videos (~5-6hr) are being deleted?

Ok, I think I'm understanding this now. I've set up Aux1 as the WD Purple 10Tb HDD with 5000Gb as the space limit with no time limit. Clips will land in New first, on the SSD, but will move to Aux1 when it reaches clip size of 1hr and cuts them. Not sure if I have it fully set up with Best...

Oldest videos (~5-6hr) are being deleted?

Screenshots of the Storage and Record tabs in Settings are attached. Hopefully this encompasses what you request. Re: the 10Gb being too small ... what is the "Limit size: 10Gb" setting actually doing, if it's not governing how big of a video file it is making? And TonyR, thank you for...

Oldest videos (~5-6hr) are being deleted?

Hello, I've got Blue Iris running on a PC on our production floor while I trial the system at the same time that we use the footage to troubleshoot equipment issues. The camera, FWIW, is a Dahua N43AF5Z. I have two questions: 1) Twice in the last week I set up the camera in the morning...

    Calculating focus distance

Budget isn't too restrictive, I may be able to go up to 2K if the camera is "perfect" for our needs, but I'd need to trial it first obviously. A DLSR probably isn't the way to go here, not as weatherproof as we'd like. This is on a beverage packaging line, so it will be a wet environment...

    Calculating focus distance

Hello, I have a special-use case for surveillance cameras, and it involves high frame-rate for clarity of fast-moving objects on a packaging line (~240 bottles per minute). Space is also critical, as the camera must fit in a space where it will only be about 2' from the targets. I'm...

Looking for IP camera and NVR system to monitor beverage packaging

That's kind of what I was afraid of. Fortunately, we don't need the higher speeds for all the cameras in the system, so we may be able to split up the duties across a couple different camera types. Thanks for the insight.

Looking for IP camera and NVR system to monitor beverage packaging

I mentioned in the initial post that the ideal focusing distance is as low as 2', but I don't know how realistic this is in terms of what is available out there. Thanks

Looking for IP camera and NVR system to monitor beverage packaging

Based on the thread you quoted for that camera, the closest focus distance is not quite 4'. There are a few situations in our equipment where that wouldn't be close enough for us to view what needs to be viewed. Do you know if there are other options that can focus closer than 1.2m? Thanks, -PS

Great, thanks for the leads! If anyone else has any other guidance or suggestions, I'm all ears and will continue monitoring the thread. Thanks, -PS

Looking for IP camera and NVR system to monitor beverage packaging

Good morning! This is my first post, introduction, and a brief summary of what I am looking for - hopefully someone can help. I work in a beverage packaging facility which takes great care to prevent the inclusion of glass fragments in our finished products. We have 4 lines that are...
