IPC-HFW1831E - Actual bitrates showing higher than configured

I came across an interesting find (at least to me). If I select H.265 / 8192 bitrate, it stays very constant within BlueIris. (apprx. 1100kB/s). I still have the same issue when I try any of the H.264 profiles, most of the time I get no video in Blueiris at all, or within the builtin webpage...

Sharing My Thoughts on My IPC-HFW2831T-ZS Cams After 6 Weeks With Them

In your setup, did you utilize H.265 or H.264? I just got an 1831 and I am having some strange issues when I try to use H.264 with Blueiris. The issue being that most of the time I can't get an image to show up in both the Camera web page, or Blueiris 5. If I switch to H.265 / 8192bitrate...

IPC-HFW1831E - Actual bitrates showing higher than configured

I am experiencing something also strange with the HFW1831EP camera I just installed. I am running the firmware 2.622.0000000.18.R, Build Date: 2019-01-09, which came with the Camera. I have it set to CBR, 8192Kb/S, and in Blue Iris (5.0.1.0 x64) the reported Bitrate jumps from the mid 400kB/s...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

It would seem that there is a known bug with Windows 10 and AMD based systems. I found a new bios update for my system (as of March) that appears to have fixed my problem. I was on a version of the bios release in January 2018 that was supposed to have also fixed the issue, but I guess it...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

UPDATE: After a sleep/wake action, the system clock goes faster, and UI3 reports the issue. Now I have to figure out what is up with my system.

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

It is definitely weird, and I suspect it has something to do with sleep/wakes. I just rebooted my system, and the clock is running correctly (at least initially) and UI3 is not reporting any issues and is acting normally. I will keep an eye on it for a little bit and see if something changes...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

AHHH, your last line just made me realize the clock on my desktop is running a lot faster! I actually reset it yesterday, and this morning it is off again. When I look at the clock, the seconds are much faster than it should be. WIll go down this investigation route.

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

Continued UPDATE: I updated my laptop, which was working fine last on 1709, to 1803, and it still continued to function normally on both WiFi and an Ethernet connection. So far it seems that the issue is on my desktop system. It is an AMD R7 1700 system with an intel CT gig adapter and an...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

Hmm, I am also on 1709, but I thought it recently updated to the newer 1803 version. But I guess not yet. UPDATE: my main system is now on 1803, while my other systems are still on 1709. I am not seeing the issue currently on my laptop (wifi) with 1709 on it, but my main system with 1803...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

I did try with stunnel off / on, and no matter the configuration I keep getting this error. It is very odd, as I never had this before in the many months I have been using UI2 and UI3 in beta until recently. In BI itself, each camera is at a steady 20fps 100% of the time. (well betwen 19.92 -...

    Inconsistant Performance for BlueIris UI3

Hi All. I wanted to also report strange behavious in UI3 recently. I have been using UI3 b30 beta for while and just recently switched to the official ui3. (i.e. I didn't realize it wasn't in beta anymore until I went to see if there was an update to the beta and realized it was in production...

    Hykamic 4.0 Megapixel Indoor Camera - Amazon - $89

Of course, I will start a new conversation with you so we don't clog up this thread.

    Hykamic 4.0 Megapixel Indoor Camera - Amazon - $89

I had the same issue with this camera, and it was due to the Hikvision 5.5.0 firmware. I downgraded to 5.4.5 and PIR worked fine within BI. I sent my findings over to the BI folks, but I didn't have any other 5.5.0 cameras to test with.

Hikvision 5.5.0 not sending PIR/Motion alarms to BI?

I understand the concern about bricking the camera . You could open a ticket with blue iris support to see if they are aware if this .I wanted to downgrade the software as my other cameras were at 5.4.5 . The process was pretty smooth once I figured out the correct IP the tftp server needed to...

Hikvision 5.5.0 not sending PIR/Motion alarms to BI?

Very interesting. Are you recording via blue Iris? I know the PIR was working as I could turn on the alarm sound and it would go off when there was detection . The problem I was having seemed to be blue iris not getting the alert from the camera and start recording. As soon as I downgraded to...

Haha, well, if you hadn't thought I said something about a video issue, I would have never googled / searched for something else :) Haha

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Hi Mike, Thanks for the info. This thread morphed a little bit from what it started. Basically IDLE and I were noticing (on the same Dell t30 server) crazy high CPU usage. We figured it all out that the intel HD driver we were using was causing some issue with BI and increasing CPU usage...

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Figured I would give one last update. I am 100% sure the problem was due to the intel HD driver. With the older driver installed, the system has not budged past the 35 - 45%, even with cameras being triggered, etc. I wonder if we will ever be able to find out what changed in the driver and...

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

I just checked my two systems and so far everything looks good. My T30 is still in the mid 30%, and my i7 6700k is still in the mid 20's. Will let it run throughout the day and report back this evening. I suspect it was a change in the Intel driver like indicated int he previous thread.

Yup, download the zip file and extract it. Then follow the step by step instructions in that same post.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

He states that in the post right above the post Fvhemert started. The download link is in the post, and you will have to follow the step by step to install the specific driver that is also in that same post. (i.e. download the zip file) It takes about 2 minutes to do.

I don't think you have to disable HA, just install the older driver. I installed it on my 2 BI systems, and will report back tomorrow.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Check this discussion. I am starting to read it, might be useful as it talks about cpu usage increasing over time : Click Me I am going to try the older version of the intel video driver and see if that fixes the issue.

Playback with HW acceleration gets corrupted

I noticed this too on my setup, though I am doing a bunch of testing on a test server so I was thinking it might be do too that. I will have to go back and do some additional testing. I was viewing the recordings directly from BI app.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

I can also say that I am seeing something similar, but not too such a crazy extent, with an i7-6700k system I have the exact same BI config running on. When I start it, it runs at approx 20-25%, and over time it will get up too 60-70%. If I restart it, it is back down to the 20-25%.
  27. K

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Hmm, I don't see where i posted anything about video. I was just concurring with what you said, if I restart the BI service, the CPU usage is back to the 30 - 40%. I put in the link again, but you will have to copy and paste, it, as the forum keeps changing it to be a media type.

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

Yes, the Dell T30 I have is doing the same thing. Starts at around 30 - 40% with my 9 cameras, stays that way for a few hours, and then climbs and stays in the 80-90% range, sometimes hitting 99-100%. If I restart the BI service, it is back to the 30-40% cpu utilization. Very odd. This is...

    Acceptable CPU Usage?

That is what is strange, there could be high CPU usage when nothing is going on, no movement, nothing. And other times my dogs could be setting off half of the cameras running around the house, outside, etc., and the CPU doesn't budge past 50%. Just so strange.
