Hi to all, new member just seeking a bit of advice.

Hey, I actually tackled this same kind mini project a couple of weeks ago. What I did was I used a TP-Link N300 travel router to act as a client to my wifi. Then I connected my camera to the TP-Link N300. The whole connection looked like this: wifi access point <-> TP-Link N300 <-> PoE...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I'm not sure. I've always simply refreshed the page. Next time it happens then I will try clicking around the page.

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I've had issues with the streams on the UI2 page simply freezing, as well as the FPS counter. But it seems to happen randomly and only after a couple days. Any ideas?

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Regarding #1, I was looking at the Github repo and the releases on there. Default2.htm is not there. But I downloaded the zip file from the first page of this thread and that zip file does contain the default2.htm. Not sure why these two zip files would be different. Shouldn't the Github repo be...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Haven't visited this thread in awhile so please excuse my ignorance. 1. What happened to default2.htm? 2. What's the difference between livestream.htm and default.htm? 3. I get poor framerate (~10 fps) when viewing through UI2, and even worse framerate (~3 fps) when viewing a single camera...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

So if I have a 4MP camera, then I'm actually only able to view it in 1MP quality through the BlueIris ActiveX plugin, even if full-screened?

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Since UI2 does not use the BlueIris ActiveX plugin for IE, does that mean that UI2 is always inferior (video quality and framerate-wise) compared to the default page?

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

It's too hard to search this thread but... is it possible for you to upload your code into Github? That way it is much easier for us to see your changes and be alerted of updates, and some of us can possibly contribute.

    BlueIris memory leak?

That sounds ridiculous that that would be something the user is expected to do for every update. Most people are just going to open BlueIris and click OK at the prompt when it asks if the user wants to update. And I'm sure some people even have "Automatic download and install" checked, since...

You can try my workaround that I specified on the first page of this thread: BlueIris memory leak?

    BlueIris memory leak?

The last response from them was "Thanks, this allows me to focus a test." That was 2 months ago. No word on any results or any further testing or anything. I am not the only one experiencing this memory leak issue, as made evident by the other people who have posted in this thread.

    BlueIris memory leak?

No official fix, but I can give you two workarounds: 1. Disable hardware acceleration and hope you have enough CPU to spare. 2. (my current workaround) Create a scheduled task with Windows Task Scheduler to restart the BlueIris service everyday. Or more specifically, create a batch file with...

    BlueIris memory leak?

As an update to this, I was able to narrow down the problem to "Intel HD hardware acceleration" option, inOptions -> Cameras -> Intel HD hardware acceleration (restart) Previously this was set to "Yes (H.264)" but some days ago I set it to "No" and now BlueIris process stays around 2GB memory...

    BlueIris memory leak?

I did report it to support. But I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue.

    BlueIris memory leak?

Upon first starting the BlueIris service, it uses about 2 GB of memory. After leaving the service running for 24 hours, that memory usage jumps up to 7-8 GB, and then it just keeps climbing. At one point it maxed my server's ram (32GB) using like 25GB and I was forced to restart my server since...
