^ I agree with Kawboy, Kid's typically don't hit mailboxes with with their parents car at that speed on purpose. Makes explaining the dents on the hood, fender or broken side mirror to mom and dad a bit problematic. That kid was definitely distracted by something and clipped the mailbox.

Lucky that mail box was there to get their attention, if it wasn't there they were on a direct course to hit that telephone pole just a little further down the road. Hitting that would have totally ruined their day.

Update: So far they haven't caught the guy. They showed the video on the news and asked the public for help in identifying the guy. Newscaster commented on how clear the video was....:). If i'd been more careful when I was initially setting up my cams, I would have push the shutter speed...

I have a monitor for my cams in the family room and I just happened to catch the last couple of seconds as the door was closing and he was walking away. By the time I got to the door he was driving away. Went and reviewed the dvr and immediately called the cops.
